"Heh sorry" she says, clearly not sorry.

"Uh huh" I say and she follows me upstairs. I put on a red skirt that stops at my knees and a white shirt. I change quickly and continue drying my hair. I tie a red bandana around my head and pull out the side bits on my hair. I turn to Mirabel and she smiles sheepishly. I hang my wet clothes on my window sill, hoping the sun will dry them. I grab another pair of sandals and tie the strap around my ankles.

"How do I look?" I ask posing for Mirabel

"Amazing" She says and we walk down. Camilo is still in his wet clothes

"You're getting water on the floor" I exclaim and run over to him. I poke him backwards so he's standing on grass.

"You're gonna make me stand out here?" he asks

"Do you have dry clothes?" I ask and he glares at me. "I can grab you a dry shirt" I say and go upstairs and grab Camilo a light blue shirt from my Tio. He takes off his ruana, his white shirt is completely soaked and I look away, cheeks burning. I hear him snicker and he takes the blue shirt. I take his shirt and ruana and toss them over the line.
"Can I come in now?" He asks, blue's a good color on him, not as good as yellow but still.

"No"
"What? Why?"

"Your pants are still wet" I say leaning against the wall. He raises his eyebrows and smirks at me "Just stand in the sun" I say and walk away.
"Wait, don't leave me!" He yells, but I'm gone. I toss a few colored pencils and paper on the table for the boys.

"So when's your gift ceremony?" I ask Antonio

"Tonight, we should probably go and get ready" he says and walks over to Camilo with Mirabel. I give Camilo his shirt and ruana and they leave

"See ya later!" Mirabel yells and Diego waves.

"Alright hombrecito, wanna go shopping with me?" I ask

"Yes!" He says and hands me my bag, I check for money and we walk out. We walk up to a bookstore and I buy one. I then buy Diego a cookie and we sit on the fountain. I read to him

"Read louder" A kid says and I look up, I have a small group of kids gathered around me, listening. Diego slides to the ground and I read to the kids. I cross my legs. A few more kids joined. Camilo runs up, out of breath.

"Huh, how'd she get them quiet?" I hear him ask Diego

"She just started reading to me" He sits next to Diego and breaks off a bit of his cookie. I close the book, and some kids groan.

"Keep reading" A little girl says running up to me

"I'm done the book" I say and she runs off with her friends. I look up and see Diego running around with some kids. I put the book in my bag

"You got a talent hermosa" Camilo says sitting beside me

"Talent?" I question

"Getting them quiet, I've been trying for months" he says and I giggle. We watch them run around when Tia and Tio walk up.
