I was woken up by a random call, of course I was infuriated but I didn't let it ruin my morning. I picked up the call on the shiny pink telephone and it was my mom telling me to wake up, I said yeah and fiddled with the hem of my hoodie. Today was my first day at my new school, and of course like any other socially awkward teen. I was nervous.
The call disconnected, and I was forced to stand up and walk into the bathroom. My hair was messy so I tied it into a low bun and left some strands out. I grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste and started to brush my teeth throughly, I definitely didn't wanna start at a new school with bad breath.

My waffles were cold because the toaster wasn't here yet, boxes pilled around me as I tried to maneuver my way to the couch. The clock on the wall showed 7:28, I had about 32 minutes before the bus came around my street.
I showered and changed clothes to a nirvana tank top , jeans, with a brown jacket. I grabbed my backpack and grabbed all of my notebooks and supplies and put them inside, the time was now 7:50.
I opened my door and left the house, the weather was hot but with a bit of wind so I kept my jacket on. The walk was short and I was at the bus stop in no time, I pulled out my phone and started to text my friend from back home.
I hear footsteps behind me, coming my way. But I heard a boys voice so probably no harm, he stood next to me and pulled out his phone.
The kid looked cute but I wasn't going to saying anything, he had fluffy hair and a pretty pair of eyes. But like I said , not saying anything to him. I couldn't risk embarrassing myself in front of someone who goes to my new school, My thoughts were cut off by the bus arriving.
The driver opened the door and we both stepped on, the boy went to sit with what I think were his close friends and I sat in an empty row near the front.
I pulled out a book from my bag and began reading. ------------------------❤︎-----------------------------
I got so caught up in my book I didn't realize that the bus had stopped and everyone started laughing. I stood up from my seat and looked at what everyone was laughing at, it was a kid, dancing.
I didn't find that really funny just interesting, the driver turned his head at the kid and honked the horn. The kid turned around quickly and noticed the kids laughing at him.
At this point I was kind of mad and not thinking this was absolutely hilarious, like the other kids did.
The kid stepped onto the bus with a embarrassed look, I zoned out from what was happening and got lost in thought but what pulled me out was me hearing a boy say
" No, no, no, no. I think it's called the I'm-trying-not-to-shit-my-pants dance!"
I turned my head in the boys direction and noticed it was THE boy I came on the bus with who said that.
" Nice one LaRusso!"
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, Daniel LaRusso is related to that rude ass?
My thoughts jumbled up and I decided to do one thing to help this boy, oh boy was I gonna regret this.
I turned to the new kid and saw he started walking down the seat rows, I knew this was my chance.
" Hey new kid come , you can sit over here" I said while waving him over.
I could see the smile and relief that washed over his face. I smiled back. He sat down next to me and introduced himself as Kenny Payne,
" Hey it's nice to meet you Kenny! I'm Cora, Cora Garnet. I'm new here too." I replied with a smile.
" Hey Cora Garnet It's nice to meet you too!" Kenny said back , while a large smile.
Me and Kenny talked for awhile and everything felt great, except I felt like I was being watched so when the convo stopped I turned around to see that LaRusso kid starring at me. He turned away quickly and began talking with his friends, if he wasn't such a jerk maybe I would have started to think he was really cute.
