JADE WAS THE LIGHT THAT ABRADED THE VOID IN EVERYONE's life. Whenever someone was going through a rough time, she always knew how to take care of them. She was a comforting presence to those around her, which was probably the reason why she was so well liked.

However, as much as she was an amazing friend, she was a fucking nightmare to her enemies, especially when you mess with her loved ones.

She may act like an angel to others, but she was still human. I mean, nobody is that fucking perfect, right? She has to have her own demons. I often wonder what those demons could be.

"DID YOU HEAR?"

Jade was laying on Lexi's bed, scrolling through her phone as she shook her head. "Hear what?"

"Rue got out of rehab," Lexi informed, laying next to her best friend as she stared up at the ceiling.

"Oh, she's alive?"

Lexi smacked her shoulder as she sat up. "That's not funny, J."

Jade dropped her phone as she put her hands up in defense. "I didn't mean it like that. The last time I heard about her was when she overdosed."

Lexi sighed as she returned to her laid position. "Do you think she'll stay clean this time?"

"Do you want an honest answer or something that'll make you feel better?"

"Both."

Jade let out a laugh. "You can't have both."

"Fine! Something that'll make me feel better."

"She'll stay clean."

"Now you're just lying to me," Lexi groaned, looking over at her.

Jade grinned as she turned over to face Lexi. "You know, you're very hard to please."

"I hope she stays clean," Lexi sighed. "I don't want her to die..."

"Hey," Jade called, pulling her friend into a hug, "it's fucking Rue. She always beats death."

"But what if one day she doesn't?"

"Well, instead of worrying about what may or may not happen in the future, let's celebrate that she at least got out of rehab."
