Do you Blame yourself?

The vision

   The Casita has been rebuilt. Everything was perfect. Almost perfect so to say. Bruno has a weight on him. He doesn't understand whats making him be so upset all of the sudden. He doesn't want Juileta or Pepa to know. They just forgave him so he doesn't want to mess up his relationship with his faimly again. Bruno was sitting in the floor with Antino. "This rat says he cares about you but you should've came out of the wall sooner" Antonio says and laughs as the rat squeaks in agreement. "This rat says that you need to get some more plots for your telenovila's. Your just doing the same thing over and over agian" Antonio says. Bruno laughs. "ANTONIO COME HERE" Pepa yells.

   "See to you later Tio Bruno" Antonio says and runs in the room that her mother is in. Bruno wonders if he can see his own future. The townsfolk had asked him many times. He was going to try it once as a kid but his mama scolded him. With him already being the faimly disappointment in his opinion,he has nothing to lose. Plus, how would his Mama even find out. He goes up to his room and makes a sand circle then throws salt over his shoulder. The sand around him swirls more violently then normal. He makes out a figure of himself. "Do you blame yourself?" The Bruno figure asks."B-blame myself?" Bruno says confused.

  "In this situation it's quite common for a person to feel a kind of guilt,so to speak" the figure of Bruno says as Bruno is more confused. "W-what situation?" Bruno asks a hint of fear creeping into his voice. "The accident" Vision Bruno says and then everything falls into a plaque in Bruno's hand. Bruno takes a deep breath with the tears forming in his eyes and smashes the plaque against the wall. "I don't make bad things happen!" Bruno says as the tears swimming in his eyes begin to fall. "I don't cause bad things, I don't cause bad things, I don't cause bad things" Bruno says over and over picking up the shards of glass and cutting his hand a couple times in the possess. Bruno starts crying sitting on the ground. He puts his head in his hands,witch gets blood on his face.

  He doesn't care about that though. He thinks about when he seen Mirabel as a small child always giggling and laughing. Even after she didn't get a gift. His eyes start burning from the sand and tears but he just keeps crying. He starts hitting his head and repeating, "all my fault,all my fault,all my fault". He sighs knowing the pain he caused everyone. The words the accident keep ringing in his head. He gets up and runs out of his tower and goes in a secret passage Casita gave him in the walls. He goes in the wall and curls up in a ball. He sees the rats surround him,"Hey let's not tell Antiono about this please" Bruno says hoping the rats wouldn't. Bruno keeps crying as he is in the walls. "Thank you Casita for giving me my passages back"Bruno says.

  Everyone sits down to eat. "Where is Bruno, he never came back to play with me. When I came back he was gone" Antonio says. "Tio, get out of there now" Dolores says. "Blah,blah,blah, I don't care your hands are bleeding. Julieta can heal and you know this" Dolores says. "I heard you in room mister,if none of us are allowed to be sad neither are you. Get your butt out here before I ask Casita to make you get out" Dolores says. Bruno sighs defeated and comes out of the wall hands dripping with blood. Antonio runs up to him. "Tio,are you ok?" Antonio asks eyes shining with worry as the rats climb up Antonio to look at Bruno. "I'm fine, don't worry" he says letting out a laugh and meeting glares from both of sisters. "I'm gonna go on a run, ill be back" Bruno says.

   "My Tia hasn't healed you yet?" Camilo says confused. "She'll heal me when I get back don't worry" Bruno says and walks out the door with the sisters exchanging worried looks. He goes down to the lake and sighs. He thinks of all the prophecies he has made over the years. He knows most of his prophecies aren't good ones. He sighs and starts crying. He knows he should go back to Casita but he doesn't want to. He just sits there and cries. Soon he hears a noise. He runs thinking its an animal and trips ripping his Pancho at the end of it. "Ugh! My Pancho" Bruno sighs exasperated. "Bruno! Bruno! Bruno!" He turns around to see Juileta running towards him. "I'm so sorry, hermana" Bruno says and tries to smile. "Don't put on that fake smile in front of me,Brunitito" Juileta scolds softly. "Here eat this" Juileta says shoving a cookie in Bruno's hand.

  Bruno eats the cookie and stares at Juileta. "Why did you come looking for me?" Bruno asks. "You hadn't come back yet. Thats why" Juileta says. "Well you sure didn't care looking for me while I was in the walls" Bruno says bitterly. "No you didn't. You went looking when Mirabel asked where her Tio was, she was too little to remember that though" Bruno says growing angry. They both stay silent until they get to the Casita. "Do you forgive me Bruno?" Juileta sqys quietly. "Yes" Bruno says after a long minute of silence. "Hey, Dolores, I'm sorry if I frightened you when I was in my room earlier" Bruno says. "Tio, your allowed to cry if I can hear you or not" Dolores says. Bruno smiles and they all go sit back down at the table. 'Do you blame yourself' keeps replying in Bruno's head and he can't make it stop.

  Soon the voice drowns out everyone around him to where he cant hear the faimly speaking. His eyes start glowing green and he stares into space with the voice repeating itself. "Tio? Tio?" Mirabel and Antonio say making their way over to him seeming to be the only ones who noticed. They lead him over to the couch. Antonio calls over the rats to come sit at Bruno's feet. "AAAH RATS"Isabela screams. "I'll get rid of them" Luisa says before feeling Antonio pushing against her leg. "No, they help Tio Bruno, let them stay" Antonio says. They all back away a little. "Brunitito, are you ok?" Juileta says walking over seeing the concern on Antonio's face.  "Don't step on the rats please Tia Juileta,you'll freak Bruno out" Antonio says. Bruno tries to get up and run but Juileta grabs him and Pepa rushes over grabbing him as well.

  "Kids to your rooms now!" Pepa says. "Thank you,Antonio. The rats really do help" Bruno says offering a weak smile to Antonio. "Bruno,what is wrong with you. You could've scared the kids!" Peppa says with a storm cloud appearing. "Pepa,calm down or get out. He can't control it. This used to happen when we were kids" Juileta says. "None of you cared about me! None of you care about me!"Bruno says. "Is this about some prophecy" Pepa says sarcastically. She meets Bruno's eyes and gasps in horror. "Oh,it is Brunitito,I'm so sorry" Peppa says a rain cloud appearing waved away by Juileta. "Mama told me not to do my own visions for a reason I guess" Bruno says with a stiffed, forced laugh. "Why don't you try to get some sleep,Bruno" Juileta suggests.

  "Did I scare the kids?! I'm so sorry if I did" Bruno says looking up horrified of the answer. "Isabela got scared by the rats but that's about it. You didn't call the rats though, Antonio did" Peppa says. "Ok,i really don't want to scare them, I just want to be a good Tio" Bruno says tears forming in his eyes. "Your the perfect Tio, I promise" Julieta says and Bruno shakes,his head no as he cries. "Don't worry you can say anything I talked Dolores into trying out her new soundproof headphones" Mirabel says and then quickly disappears."Bruno,you are the perfect Tio,you even left because you thought that was whats best,your the best Tio in zhe world" Pepa says. "The way you talk to Mirabel,the way you  always make sure to call Isabella beautiful and take every flower she gives you even though your allergic,don't say you aren't you sneeze up a storm later" Juileta says.

   "You also make sure Luisa doesn't stress, you remind her to take breaks when she forgets" Juileta says. "You play with Antonio and listen to him. You let Antiono talk to the rats. The reason you were smiling when I told everyone to leave is so Antonio would know everything is ok,and he would see his Tio is just stressed. The way you handle Dolores's sensitivity to sound and never have messed up or been to loud. You got here sound proof headphones so she wouldn't hear stuff too. The way you handled Camilo,you had every right to yell at him for scaring everyone of you. You could've lashed out at him but you didnt" Pepa says.

   They all smile and hug. Bruno goes up to his tower and sighs, no matter what his faimly says deep down he still feels like he isn't doing enough for the faimly. He knows he will be nothing more than the faimly disappointment,he thinks he should be. He sighs and holds his breath so tears don't escape out of his eyes because Dolores would be able to hear him,again.
