Waking up to the early sound of Hermione's voice in her ear, Lyra opened her eyes to see a head of bushy hair with rays of sun flowing through the strands.
"Ly, wake up. We've got to get some breakfast before our first class," Hermione said to the nearly sleeping werewolf.
"Mmh," Lyra hummed in response, making Hermione walk away.
"If you aren't there in the next ten minutes, I'll know to worry," Hermione announced, walking out of the dorm.
"Ugh," Parvati groaned, rolling over. "I just want to sleep," she dragged.
"I felt that," Lavender said, grabbing her things before sluggishly dragging herself to the bathroom to get ready.
"Guess we should get ready," Lyra said to Parvati, who nodded without moving.
Lyra, reluctantly, pushed her feet to the left side of her bed, letting her feet hit the cold, wood floor with a quiet thump. She wrapped her arms around herself momentarily before walking over to her still packed trunk and grabbing her uniform.
Lavender left the bathroom as Lyra padded over.
"Holy shit," Lyra breathed out upon seeing her. "Sorry!" Lyra quickly said, covering her mouth with wide eyes.
"What?" Lavender asked, confusion written on her face.
"Are you wearing — makeup?" Lyra asked, her face scrunching in thought.
"Oh," Lavender blushed, "a little bit, yeah."
"Dang," Parvati said, now looking at her friend's face, too. "Pretty."
"That's what I'm thinking!" Lyra said encouragingly, motioning to Parvati while looking at Lavender with excitement, a bright smile lighting up her face.
"Anyone particular?" Parvati asked, owning a mischievous grin.
"What? No!" Lavender said a little too quickly, feigning shock while not meeting either one of her friends' eyes.
"Oh my god! There totally is!" Lyra stated, a goofy grin erupting and surfacing.
"Stop it! Godric, you two are so embarrassing!" Lavender shouted through her hands that covered her beet-red face.
"We'll have to see who she makes goo-goo eyes at during meals now, Lyra," Parvati said, grabbing her necessities before sitting back on her bed, getting her school bag ready.
"I'm leaving now!" Lavender announced, making the other two laugh before Lyra walked into the bathroom to get dressed.
Lavender had left some of her makeup brushes out, one having light pink eye shadow remnants on it, another being lightly dusted with the lightest shade of purple imaginable. Lyra looked at them, admiring the shimmer of the remaining powders before quickly pulling her uniform onto her small stature.
Brushing her teeth quickly, she walked around her dorm, collecting her school books and placing them all in a single bag, which she had enchanted with an undetectable extension charm. She had read about it over summer while she was with the Weasleys.
Spitting out the white foam from the paste, she heard Parvati call out, "Are you nearly done in there or should I dress out here?"
"Nope, I'm done! You can come it!" Lyra yelled back, placing the brush into a cup Hermione had brought to keep their tooth brushes off the sink.
"Are you heading down now?" Parvati asked.
"I was planning to, why? Should I wait?"
"No, you can leave, I just wondered if you would get my schedule if I'm not there in time."
