Forbidden Love (Hayes Grier-Fan Fiction)

Chapter 1

Riley's POV:

As many of you don't know, I'm Riley Winters. The awkward girl who always sits at the back of the class or by herself at lunch. Yep, that's me. As you can probably tell I'm not the type who enjoys attention. My moto is "It's better to be smart than popular".

Over the years I just never felt the need to associate myself with others, but now my parents are forcing me too so that's totally going to be fun(sarcasm). And to make matters even worse I won't be associating myself with people I know because I'm moving to a new school. Let's just hope everything turns out for the best. 

*Next morning*

I woke up the next morning and decided for once I would actually try to look nice. I put on my favorite grey Abercrombie sweater, blue jeans, and a pair of worn-down black keds. My sister even convinced me to curl my hair and for once I looked pretty decent. 

"Good morning sweetie," my mom said to me as I appeared in the kitchen.

"Good morning mom," I replied back.

"Excited for your first day of school?" she asked.

"Not really," I replied back.

"Well we better get going or else you're going to be late," she said back.

*Driving to school*

I looked out the window just hoping that something would prevent me from going to school and something did! The car started making these weird gurgling noises and finally stopped. Even though I didn't want to go to school, I would never be purposely late.

"I could just walk to school," I suggested.

"Honey, it's pouring outside," my mom said to me.

"School's only a couple blocks down and I could run," I replied back.

"Well alright then, but hurry."

"We wouldn't want you late on the first day,"mom replied worriedly.

Hayes's POV:

Today should be fun, everyone is talking about a new girl coming to school today and I have a football game today also, I thought while getting ready for school. After I was done I started to walk to school and when I arrived I instantly started looking for my friends. It was about 7:55 and school starts at 8:10 so I didn't have that much time to talk.

I turned around and saw my friend Alex.

He walked up to me and said

" Have seen the new girl yet, have you?"

"No" I replied

I went on talking, but the bell rung so Alex and I headed our first class(technology). When we arrived to class Alex and I scanned the class for the new girl, we didn't see her so we just guessed she didn't have this class with us. Anyways the class normally read silently for 20 minutes and then began learning about whatever the current subject would be.

Ms.Ray our tech teacher read out attendance and while she was going through the list she said 'Riley Winters' which I had not heard before.

"Bro that must be the new girl" Alex said

"She must not be here today or so something" I replied back

We took out our phone and I went on the wattpad app while I don't know what Alex was doing. I couldn't find anything on wattpad so I started playing flappy bird.

"BANG!" The whole class looked back at the window and saw lightning.

"Woah that scared me" Alex whispered

"Ehhh I knew it was lighting" I whispered back  

Alex and I looked back and saw it was raining

"Bruhhh how are we suppose to have the game today if the field is soaking wet" he complained

"I'm not that upset because I’m really tired" I whispered

"Well I am too but I'm mad because I Faith (his gf btw) was coming today ugh!" He whispered.

"That sucks" I whispered back

Then we stopped talking because Ms.Ray started to explain to the class what we would be doing today, when she was done she said to choose a partner

I turned to Alex and said

"Part-.." And got cut off because him and I both looked toward the opening door.
