DIIIIING DONG

The doorbell rang through the house, and I shot up from off the couch to get it.

"I GOT IT!" I scream so probably the people on the moon can hear me. (Ik sound doesn't travel through space. I was so loud I broke space :3) (jk) I open the door to see a boy about five looking at me.

"Hello! What's your name?" I put my hands on my knees to become eye level.

"Mike" he gives me a grin, showing his missing two front teeth. "Mommy, Nate, and Daddy are coming. They are just so sloooow." He complains as he finished his sentence, three people walked up.

"Hi, I'm Mary!" The woman said. She hands us a plate with cookies on it, and as I'm eyeing it up, the super models come up behind me.

"I'm Tim" the older man says. Hehe. Tim and Tom will be friends. After an awkward moment of silence, Mary nudges the boy who is my age. He's texting and not even looking at us.

Rude much?

"I'm Nate." He doesn't even glance up.

"I'm Avery, this is Stacy, and Tom." I introduce my family. Nate glances up when he hears a female voice his age, and eyes me over.

Player.

"Are you done eye raping me?" I ask, he blushes, Mary looks disgusted at my unladylike manner, and Tim looks like he's about to explode from laughter. My parents just laugh.

"What's that mean?" I hear little Mike ask. I forgot he was here. Oops.

"Well, um, your brother was, um, looking to see if I had ice cream stains on me anywhere." I say a bit to quickly, purposely. Mike, luckily, believes me. *wipes sweat off forehead*

"So would you like to, uh, come over later and hang?" Nate asks, much to Mary's disapproval. Looks like one person already hates me.

"Sorry. Can't. Unpacking." I simply tell him. He nods.

"Well see you in school." He walks off.

"Bye guys." Mary walks off and drags Tim with her.

"Do you have any ice cream?" Mike is still here. Mary and Tim are SOO responsible of their children. *note the sarcasm*

"Yes we do. Go ask your mom if you can have any." He eagerly nods and runs off after his parents. After a few seconds, I hear a really long 'pleeeeeeaaaase' after another second, he comes running back with a grin on his face.

"She says yes! We live right next door to you to thatta way" he points to the left. He comes in himself, and I start to walk to the kitchen.

"Follow me!" I jog slightly, and he's running behind me. Once we get in the kitchen, he plops down in a seat.

"So how many scoops would you like?" I ask him.

"Two!" He holds up three fingers.

"How old are you?" I ask him curiously.

"Four" he actually holds up four fingers, luckily. As I'm scooping small scoops, I ask him some questions.

"How high can you count?"

"One free two four five six seven." He replies. He grins proudly. I decide not to point out his mistake.

"What's your favorite animal?" he ponders over the question for a second before answering.

"Dinosaur." This kid is so freaking adorable. I put down his ice cream before asking another question.

"Favorite color?" He answers immediately with some ice cream in his mouth.

"Gween" Was that mine? I should have read the papers again... I think it was.

"Mine to!" His eyes light up even more than already, excited that we had something in common. "Favorite.... Place?" I ask. He comes up with a really cute and fake story.

"The moon. I went there last year all by myself. I was up there, and I tried to eat it because it looked like cheese. But it wasn't. It was just rocks. But then the moon disappeared! My Daddy says its a new moon when you don't see it in the sky. It must have went into new moon mode cuz I fell all the way back to here." He explains. He has the cutest lisp. He finishes his ice cream after that

"Will you eye rape me?" He asks and I nearly jump out of my skin.

"What?!" I nearly yelled, but then remember what I told him. Oops.

"Check for ice cream." He looked at me confused. I brush off some chocolate on his shirt, then I decide to walk him home. Even if he is right next door, he shouldn't walk alone.

As we are walking, he grabs my Hand and he has the tiniest hand. I love this kid and I just met him. He is hard not to love though. I lead him home, and he goes inside.

"Bye Avy!" He calls and closes the door. I walk back home and groan. I have school tomorrow. Today is Sunday and I honestly don't feel like learning tomorrow. I go upstairs to my bedroom, which is about the size of three elephants fully grown. I plop on my bed and take out my laptop with one thing in mind. Finding the bad guys.

~two hours later~

I found nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nothing useful. I only found out who died, and who was kidnapped. How is that gonna help? Like, I know I wouldn't find names, but I was hoping to find a pattern or something.nope. Just some random families. I'll research more later I guess...
