Chapter 10

Izuku raced across the desolated land. He reaches the edge of a cliff and looks over his former home. He frowned at the sight before, the once green beautiful land with animals everywhere, was gray with no animals.

"Izuku, wait up!" (Y/n) trots next to him. "It's awful, isn't it?"

"I didn't want to believe you." Izuku said.

"What made you come back?" (Y/n) asked.

"I finally got some sense knocked into me. And I've got the bump to prove it. Besides, this is my kingdom. If I don't fight for it, who will?"

"I will." (Y/n) nodded. "It's gonna be dangerous."

Izuku changes his voice to be more high. "Danger? Ha! I laugh in the face of danger."

(Y/n) rolls her eyes at him trying to hide her smile.

"I see nothing funny about this." Denki walked up a couple of rocks.

"Denki? Kirishima? What are you doing here?" Izuku asked his friends.

"At your service, my liege." Kirishima bows.

"Uh. We're going to fight your uncle for this?" Denki asked and pointed at the Pride Lands.

"Yes, Denki, this is my home."

"Eeh! Talk about your fixer-upper! Well, Izuku, if it's important to you," Denki bows. "We're with you to the end."

The four sneak up to the edge of Pride Rock. They hide behind a log and try to figure out the plan.

"Hyenas. I hate hyenas." Denki gulped and whispered. "So what's your plan for getting past these guys?"

"Live bait." Izuku whispered.

"Good idea!" Denki realizes what he said. "Hey."

"Come on, Denki- you guys have to create a diversion." Izuku whispered.

"What do you want me to do? Dress in drag and do the hola?"

Denki dressed in a hula outfit, with Kirishima set up like a roast pug with an apple in his mouth.

"Luau! If you're hungry for a hunk of fat and juicy meat, Eat my buddy Pumbaa here because he is a treat Come on down and dine, On this tasty swine, All you have to do is get in line. Aaaare you achin','' Denki danced and pointed at the pig. The hyenas stalked closer with hunger in their eyes.

"Yup, yup, yup."

"Four some bacon?"

"Yup, yup, yup."

"Heeeee's a big pig,"

"Yup, yup,"

"You could be a big pig too."

"Oy!"

The hyenas attacked them, but the lucky ran away screaming their heads off. (Y/n) and Izuku come out of their hiding spot.

"(Y/n), you find my mother and rally the lionesses. I'll look for Tomura." Izuku said with determination.

"Izuku, be careful." (Y/n) warned.

Izuku stalked up Pride Rock, but gasped when he heard a voice shout.

"INKO!!!!" Tomura shouted so loud that it echoed back and forth, Izuku saw his mother for the first time in years. His beloved mother walked through the crowd of growling hyenas and towards the top where Tomura was. Inko looked much older, malnourished and very unhealthy.
