"What are you doing!" I quickly turned around to see drew standing there. "I-i" "you know what. Save it okay, you have fun with your new boyfriend. If you didn't wanna get married you could've just said so!" And with that drew stormed off. "Wait, you're getting married!?" Chris asked. I really couldn't answer that I didn't know anymore because of what just happened. "Carlee?" "I-i can't talk to you anymore. Just stay away from me!" I yelled at him as I got up and ran off. I honestly didn't know where I was running to, but I was just trying to run away from all my problems. "Wait!!" Chris called after me, but I ignored him and kept on running. I couldn't face him at the moment. I needed to find drew and tell him what was really happening.
I ran a few blocks towards the cafe then walked the rest of the way making sure chris wasn't following me. I arrived back at the cafe and quickly walked inside "anna" I whispered to myself as I rushed towards her. "Carlee! Are you okay!?" She asked as she came around the counter and hugged me "no, im not okay. Not at all." "You need to tell me everything that happened. Now." We sat down and I explained everything sniffling now and than. "Wow, so let me get this straight. You went to 'hang out' with chris, than he took you to the tree were he learned to sing, and you to harmonized. Then when you opened your eyes you were face to face with Chris and you were about to kiss, but than drew cane out of nowhere and told you that if you didn't wanna marry him you should've just said so?" I nodded my head yes. "Well than you might wanna hide behind the counter because chris is right outside the window" anna said pointing to the window.
I quickly jumped out of my chair and ran behind the counter ducking my head down and peeking out the corner a little so he couldn't see me. "Hello, welcome to common place. How may I help you today?" Anna said as chris came walking through the door. "Um, do you know someone named carlee by any chance?" He asked as he walked up to her "uh, yeah." She quickly said as she took out a rag and began wiping the table. "Has she been here?" "Nope, haven't seen her since this morning. Sorry." Chris let out a sad sigh "well when you see her can you tell her that I'm sorry I lured her into almost kissing me. I knew she had a boyfriend, but i didn't know she was getting married. If I knew I wouldn't of tried to get her to like me. And I feel like a jerk for doing that to you. I hope you can forgive me." Anna smiled at him "that's sweet. I'll let her know what you said" "okay thank you so much!" He pulled anna into a hug and told her bye as he left.
"You can come out now" Anna said. I came out and let out a sigh "you know he's not bad" she said putting her hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, I know. But that's what I'm afraid of. I might fall for him." Anna gave me a hug "go home, get rest. I'll see you tomorrow" "okay" I said and walked the door, and over to my car. "Well well, long time no see" I heard an oddly familiar voice say.
