A computer screen came to life, showing the background of a sunset and Ben smiling at the camera.

"Hi Mia!" Ben said as he smiled at the camera. "Sorry it took so long to call. I know, I know: miss big brother so much you had to send a hundred emails to make sure I'm still here."

Ben chuckled as he looked around. He smiled at someone off screen and the sound of a little girl laughing could be heard. When he turned his head it showed some of his hair tied into loose ponytails.

"I'm sorry I missed your birthday. Did Ethan give you my gift?" He asked, leaning forward. "If so, I hope you like it. If not, well I can't spoil the surprise."

Ben gave a small smile as he rolled his eyes.

"Anyways, this babysitting job should be done any day now. Hopefully when I get back you and Ethan will have a child so the Cooper bloodline will live on!" He laughed. "Sorry, my business partner made a similar joke when his sister got married. Anyway, I'll see you soon! Bye sis!"

The computer screen went blank. Bloody hands slowly typed on the key board and panting could be heard. The screen came back on and revealed Ben again, but his face was covered in scratches and blood.

"Ethan." Ben gasped as he leaned against the desk. Blood stained his shirt and his left arm had an ugly cut going down to his elbow. "I know I don't really talk to you, but I need you to keep Mia safe."

Ben looked behind him in panic as an inhuman scream echoed in the background, colorless metal halls. Ben turned back to the screen. He then hurled up blood on the floor.

"Listen: let Mia believe anything! Let her believe I ran away. Let her believe I died. Let her believe I left her for good." Tears started to form up in his eyes as more screams were heard. "But what ever you do, what ever it takes...."

"Stay....Away!"

Sorry for the short chapter. Yes, Ben is Mia's brother. So expect to see Ethan coming to the rescue.
