The day of the accident is when it happened. The family singing in the car, then BANG we swerved off the road. In the ditch I screamed for mom and dad, I called 911. After I woke up from my sleep I asked how my parents were. The doctors response was "we did all we could, they're in A better place now". I was 6 back then i'm 9 now. "Hey kid" my uncle said at the funeral of my parents. He took me in afterwords, and for that I am grateful. The old man, eyepatch on the left eye and an old raincoat slung across his shoulders. He took me to his house (or mansion I should say). He showed me to my room, all black, rats in the corners, and An old springy bed in the back. "You can change it to your liking" my uncle said from behind me his gruff voice startling me. Now here I am 3 years later eating carrot stew at the dinner table, uncle smoking on the front porch. I've learned some things about uncle, like his name (which is Drew). He hasn't asked my name yet (which is William), Also he was my dad's brother, gosh I miss them but I guess I can't change it, can I?
