Ah, good old West Haven. Great Town, if you're on the Nice side of it. I wasn't. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, the name's Anthony. Today is her birthday. The two hour drive is a drag, but I'll get over it. We've arrived at Tommy's house. I don't think I'm ready to see them yet. Let's sit in the driveway for a bit. - Someone's knocking on the window. I roll it down. "Hey man!" I'd know his energetic voice anywhere. "Hey Tommy," I answer trying to sound like I want to be here. "You look like shit man, everything okay?," Tommy asks. He sounds pretty Genuine. "I'm fine, don't worry about it," I answer, incredulously. "If you say so dude, come on in!," Tommy says, grabbing my hand. I follow Tommy into the house, where Kirsten is already waiting. "What took you guys so long?," she asks, oddly anxious. "Anny here isn't feeling too great," Tommy says with a wink. I don't want to talk about this. Let's change the subject. "Where's Jemma," I ask, desperate for a new topic. "She went to go pick up Christine, they'll be here," Tommy responds. Christine. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen plus, she's sweeter than a bowl of candy. I've Loved her ever since  we all met i  sixth grade. I've never told her though. I think I should talk to Tommy. "Tom, can we talk? In private," I ask. "Sure dude, come with me." I follow him up the stairs. We walk into his room. "What's up?" Tommy looks at me curiously. "I'm nervous Tom, I haven't seen her for three years, how am I supposed to tell her I love her!," I ask him, desperate for answers. "Just tell her man, I'm sure she likes you too." I frown. "You're not helping dude," I say, agrivated. "Sorry man, that's all I can tell you," he shrugs. I sigh. Kirsten yells up "Tom, Anny! Christine and Jemma are here!" I take a deep breath. "I got this," I whisper. Tommy gives me a reassuring look. While Tommy runs down the stairs, I'm behind him, Taking it slow, too nervous to see Christine. Then I spot her. - Dark orange hair, beautiful blue eyes, and her Bronze skin. She's wearing skin tight jeans and a loose hanging, light purple sweater, with a tang top underneath. I also notice, she's wearing my beanie. I can't help myself, I jog the rest of the way down the stairs. I walk up to her and tap her shoulder. She turns and smiles at me. "Hey Anny!," she says, still smiling. "Hey Chrisy," I say with an awkward smile. I give her a hug, unsure of what else to do. "Hey can you uh follow me to the kitchen," I ask awkwardly. "Sure," she says as she grabs my hand. I feel my face flush and start walking. "Why did you ask me here?," She asks. I take a deep breath. "I um." I'm starting to sweat. "I think I might love you, and I have since we met." She's staring at me. "I don't know what to say, I'-" she stops. Oh no. "Listen, Anny, you're a great guy and all but, I uhm, I don't like men," she says. My heart stops mid drop. "You're, Lesbian?" I ask, attempting to confirm what I heard. "Yeah, I'm sorry, I hope you aren't upset.." Why would I be upset? "No not at all!" I say, "Actually I'm relieved!" If only she knew. She looks at me, blinking away tears. "Really?" I nod. She sighs, "I'm glad!" She grabs my hand again and we walk back out. Tommy looks at me hopefully. I shake my head, and he frowns. I look at Christine. She's staring at Kirsten. I let go of her hand and walk over to Kirsten, pushing her back by the bathroom. "Kirsten you're Bi right?" I ask her. "Uhm yeah why?" She can't tell, can she? "Christine likes you Kirsten, and I swear to fucking god if you break her heart-" Kirsten stops me. "Dude chill, I already like her!" I stare at her. "I was just about to ask her out, so thanks for confirming that I guess." I'm still staring. "Be careful," I say, and I walk away. I watch it happen. The embrace. The kiss. I can't help but look away. Tommy's staring at me. His face flushes and he looks away. I have a strange feeling. "Hey, Tommy, come with me quick," I say. He nods and follows me upstairs. "Is something wrong?," I ask, "You can tell me anything." His face is still flushed. I stare at him. "Anny," he says. I raise my eyebrows. "Anny I think I might be gay," he says, and looks at the ground. I'm shocked.  Tommy's usually joking around about stuff like this, but this time, I think he's serious. I say nothing and give him a hug. "Don't worry Tommy, I support you," I say with a smile. He laughs. "What's so funny?" Tommy? "Nothing," he says, as he looks up and smiles at me. "Come one," I say and grab his arm pulling him with me. - The girls are on the couch, watching TV. Tommy and I sit at the end of the couch, Tommy leans on my shoulder. I lean my head on his and start to doze off...
