Orphanage

Chapter 12

The next day, Jungwoo woke up very early not like he fell asleep. He was awake most times but fell asleep eventually. Jungwoo was very excited to take the Dreamies out. He especially wants to take to the orphanage he worked before and introduce them to the kids. Even though it somehow brings him sad memories, he still wants to see the children that brought him happiness.

He got dress before waking up the Dreamies one by one. Jungwoo prepared breakfast as he let his mom sleep in because he didn't want to make her do more work. The Dreamies came down as soon as he finished the breakfast. He places the plates that's filled with eggs and bacons on the dining table while the Dreamies sat down on each sides of the table.

"Thanks for the food hyungie" they all said in unison to Jungwoo.

"No problem. Now stuff your stomach because we're about to have a lots of fun today" he gave them a smile before digging in.

Time skip

"Mom, we're about to go out. The food is in the fridge if you're hungry" Jungwoo said as he peeked inside his moms room.

"Alright, be safe. Take care of the boys okay?" His mom replied as she sat up on the bed. Jungwoo hummed in response as he closes the door slowly.

He came downstairs while the Dreamies were waiting for him.

"Where are we going first hyung?" Haechan asked as Jungwoo was walking up to them.

"We'll be going to the orphanage I used to work in before" he faintly smiled, as he remembered all the memories he had in the orphanage.

"Is it the orphanage of your first love?" Mark asked, while the Dreamies gave him the "really hyung" face. Mark shrugged his shoulders.

Jungwoo sighed. "Yes Mark. It's that one"

"Why would you want to go there? He hurt you hyung" Mark asked as he stood up from the couch walking towards Jungwoo.

"It wasn't him that hurt me, it was his mom and I'm hoping that I won't see either of them there." He explained to the younger one.

"I just want to introduce you guys to the children I used to teach before. If they're still there or if they remember me at least. Then after we can go to wherever you guys want to go" he continued.

Chenle and Jisung abruptly stooof up from the couch and jump around with excitement.

"Okay shall we go then hyung?" Renjun asked.

Jungwoo hummed in response. They all went to put on their shoes and headed out to the front door. The orphanage was close so they took a walk around the neighbourhood.

As always Haechan was bickering around with everyone especially Renjun. Not for one second he would take a break from teasing Renjun. Jaemin was walking beside Jungwoo as he linked his arms with him. Jeno and Jisung were at the back talking casually while Chenle and Mark were bonding like father and son.

It didn't take long til they arrived at the orphanage. Jungwoo saw some kids playing around the playground which made him smile. They all entered as they greeted the security guard that recognized Jungwoo.

"Hey Jungwoo, long time no see" he smiled and gave Jungwoo a light hug.

"Hey Changmin hyung, how have you been?" he asked as he politely returned the hug.

"I've been well, all the kids missed you while you were gone." his Changmin hyung replied.

"Aw, I miss them as well. I'm sorry for leaving without saying goodbye" Jungwoo pouts.

"Don't be sorry to me. Say that to the children, they've been waiting for your return" Changmin pats Jungwoo's shoulder. He noticed there were teenagers behind which Jungwoo notices his stares.

"Ahh hyung , these are the boys that I managed to adopt from Canada" the Dreamies gave him the "wtf" look as Jungwoo was trying to hide his laugh.

"Oh nice to meet you everyone, my name is Shim Changmin, the security guard for this orphanage" he kindly greeted the boys.

The Dreamies bowed and introduced themselves one by one to the elder. They were casually talking and catching up about stuff until someone finally noticed Jungwoo's appearance.

"Mr Kim?" a little voice said.

Jungwoo turned to the sound of the voice and saw one of his students from before.

"Oh Yeonjun" he opened his arms signalling the little child to give him a hug but before he could do that Yeonjun yelled to the other kids that their old teacher was back.

A group of children came running to see if it was true, they looked at him with a shocking face, some cried and gave him a hug. The Dreamies admired Jungwoo at how he was close with the children.

"Mr Kim who are they?" one kid pointed out while looking at the boys who's standing side by side behind Jungwoo.

Jungwoo replied, "Everyone meet my friends from Canada. Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung"

The children and the boys bowed at each other. Some children came up to them and take their hands to play at the playground. Jungwoo smiled at the scene of them playing. He was interrupted when he felt a body crash into his body. He look down to see Taeil hugging him. Jungwoo immediately wrapped his arms around the elders waist, embracing each other before pulling away.

Taeil slapped his arms while tears were slowly streaming down his face. "Yah, where have you been since the last 5 years? You didn't even say goodbye to me, Ten or the children"

"Hyung I'm sorry for not telling you nor Ten, it was very urgent and I didn't have time to tell you but I promise I'll tell you guys soon. Now stop crying, it doesn't suit you" he giggled as he stated his last sentence.

Taeil slapped his arms again, wiping his tears after but then a smirk appear on his face. "We'll Mr. Kim, you've been a hot topic since the last two years. You're also on the cover of every magazines-"

"Taeil hyung stop that. I'm embarrassed" I covered my face as he teased me making him laugh at my reaction.

"But seriously tho, I'm proud of you" Taeil patted Jungwoo's back. "Thank you hyung" Jungwoo replied.

"Where is Ten hyung btw? I haven't seen him" Jungwoo asked looking around the orphanage to see if he can find Ten.

"Oh Ten took a day off probably cuz Johnny and him went on a date and yk" Taeil tried to explain while Jungwoo rolled his eyes knowing what he meant. They both laugh eventually after.

"Also before I forget, Ten is engaged with Johnny" he smiled widely as he told the younger one.

Jungwoo jumped in excitement and being happy for Ten. "I'm so happy for him. I should pay him a visit some time soon as well"

Jungwoo look at the Dreamies and saw that they were playing and having fun with the kids. He excused himself from Taeil and joined the others. Some kids came up to him and started crying because they missed him. He apologized and gave them an excuse that he got a job offer to Canada. The kids were very naive that they believed him and played. Jungwoo notices that some of the students he teaches before were not in the orphanage. He smiled at the thought that they got adopted and finally has a family that will take care of them and give them a new life.
