Distraction

(Alex p.o.v.)

I rush home and find hayden and elli sitting on the couch. I gasp and they look up "Mom it has been too long since i seen you." Hayden says as he gives me a hug, and i start to cry " It really has been baby." I whisper as i hold him tightly like he's going to disappear. "Mom it's ok we're together now. Enzo said you were with dad, is he with you?" Hayden asks "No he's with his family, i rushed back i had to see my baby for myself." I laugh as i wipe tears away and he laughs with me. 

(Rebekah P.O.V.)

After Alex leaves kol gets a call from the doppelganger bitch something to do with a truce, which seems suspicious after everything her friends have done to me and elijah. I hear kol leave the house and i follow him to the gilbert house, i stay where i can hear the conversation but can also stay hidden. Kol finally leaves and i start making my way back home before i hear kol heading back towards elena's house. I make my way back to her house where i can hear struggling coming from inside as i approach the steps, and kol screams out like he is hurt. I rush in snapping elena and jeremy's necks before rushing over to kol who has a white oak stake in his shoulder "What the hell happened? I ask before gripping the stake to pull it out. "Those damn brats ambushed me. You know for being a vampire hunter jeremy has terrible aim." Kol laughs before hissing at the pain after i pull the stake out.  "Alright come on let's get you home i have a phone call to make." i say putting his arm around my shoulder before walking towards the door. "No bex don't call alex she doesn't need to know about this, please?" Kol pleads as i finally get him outside and i send him a glare "No kol! i am calling her she deserves to know that her husband just nearly met his demise." I tell him before vamping back to the house and getting kol to his room. I go downstairs and pull my phone out to call alex

A: Rebekah is something wrong? You never call this late

R: Alex we almost lost him, if i hadn't got there in time he would have died.

A: Who bekah?

R:Kol. elena and jeremy ambushed him. i followed him because i don't trust them.

A: Ok i'm on my  way over right now. I'll take care of them tomorrow 

We hang up and i start making myself a drink, i am almost finished when i hear alex come in. "Where is he bekah?" She asks giving me a hug, i let go and point up the stairs "He's in his room sleeping it off you can go up if you want. 

(Alex p.o.v.)

I get to kol's room before quietly going in and shutting the door, i sit on the side of his bed just looking him over to make sure he really is ok. "Oh my love they have no idea what they have done, and i honestly don't know what i would do if they had been successful." I whisper as i stroke his face as i feel the tears i've been holding back start to fall. "I love you always and forever kol mikaelson." I kiss his cheek  before quietly leaving. "Well bekah i am going to head out got somethings to do before i head off for revenge." I tell her as i give her one more hug before i leave. "Oh stefan text me and said that damon  was taking the gilberts to their lake house." Rebekah tells me as i reach the door, i nod before walking out and heading back home.
