"So let me get this straight. The animatronics love you to death and literally want you dead at the same time? And there is absolutely nothing you can do about it?!" Mike asked as verification.
"Yea, but....don't worry about it." I said finally and kept drinking my coffee.
"What do you-" Jeremy started but I cut him off.
"Look. You just met me, you can't be this attached to me already. I-I will be fine." I said with my head down.
For years, many, many ,MANY, years. People often acted like they liked me to a point where I become completely and utterly convinced that they did. I believed my best friends, my boyfriends, my family, yet every single relationship I had with a living being would crash down into the fires. I am done believing in random ass people that don't know a THING about me! In done getting hurt, I'm done being hit, I'm done being tease, and I am DONE trusting anyone!
"Alice don't be like that, sure we just met you but we all stick together, even with this phsyco." Jeremy said and pointed back to Vincent who waved. I let out a small laugh.
"OK, but no risking your butts for me. I'd rather die with the dignity I still have left." I smiled and they all laughed. That is till we noticed the music box again and I had to run to it and crank it fast. It took many cranks to get the old thing to work fully as it was already at its last bar.
"He is opening it!" Fritz said from the cameras. I cranked as fast as I could till at the last second a creepily sweet tune played.
"OK, he's going back down." Vincent sighed in relief from beside Fritz. Even the killer knows what will happen to HIM if they get him. Worst then death for him.
"That was way too close." I said and slid down the wall, my heart beat now back to normal and my stuttering I worked so hard to get rid of as a kid now gone. I worked hard to get where I am, not to mention moved across the continent from all the people who messed with me including my family of idiots and asses.
"What time is it?" Mike asked, already tired of this.
"3 o'clock." I answered. We all let out an symphony of annoyed groans and went back to work. I just stayed at the wall by the vent, knowing it takes them longer to notice something in the corner. I lied my head on my knees and watched as the five went through the usual stuff, I checked the vents every now and then and encountered TC but she wasn't in that mode so didn't bother me.
"You OK, Alice?" Jeremy asked about an hour later. He smiled and slid down the wall beside me.
"Yea, why?"
"You were pretty terrified earlier, at first glance I thought you'd end up being like Mike and not give a fudge what they did but that caught me a little off guard." He chuckled akwardly.
"Yea, I'm fine. Although I'm not happy that side of me came out. I worked hard to get ride of that part."
"What part?"
"I was really shy while I was growing up, it took a long time for me to get rid of my stuttering and yet it still comes out. That and my paranoid side only comes out when I'm alone, so this was pretty awkward for me." I admitted.
"I thought it was a nice change."
"What do you mean?"
"Usually I am the scared one, but I felt a little braver when I saw him coming, it was pretty out of character for me, too."
We laughed after a bit of silence. Once we stopped I tried to drink my coffee but found my cup empty. I sighed, annoyed that I had downed it that quickly from my big coffee cup.
"What's in that anyway? You know all ours, what's yours?" He asked as we got up from the floor.
"It's regular but I have a special creamer that only I use."
"What kind of special creamer?"
"That is classified." I laughed as we made our way to the kitchen, he needed a refill also. I unlocked it and made the coffee, poured it onto our cups, made his the way he likes his and mine the way I like it. I put the messenger bag in the counter and took out all the stuff, finally finding my creamer and putting a small amount in.
"Why do you have vodka in your bag?" Jeremy said with a small laugh.
"I told you, I know all you guys's favorite coffee styles." I smirked as I put it away.
"That is for Mike's coffee, isn't it?" He sighed with a small chuckle as we got back to the hall, I locked the kitchen door and began to walk back.
"Yes, yes it is. Sometimes it's a different alcohol, whatever I have the budget for." I shrugged. We got to the office right as the ding off the bell went off, signaling that the guard shift is over with. I walked with them to the door.
"I'll see you guys later." I waved as they left but they stopped in the doorway.
"You arn't coming?" They asked.
"No, I took the day shift today also, I have both day and night shift every other day till next week." I shrugged.
"That's insane! Why did you take so many shifts?" PG asked.
"I need the money, I have a car to pay off and student loans. I'm finally almost done. Don't worry, I'll be fine." I smiled and walked away to start the day. I went to the bathroom to change into my waitress outfit as the other staff came in. It is a short sleeve dress with an apron, I didn't like it but I have to wear it.
I sighed as I walked out, time to start the long day.
What the fuck did I get myself into?!
