THE MAJORITY OF THE GROUP STOOD SILENT in the farmhouse, waiting for the remainder of their friends to return
standing up causing all heads to turn, andrea spoke first, "i'm going after them"
"don't. they could be anywhere" lori started, "and if randall comes back, we're gonna need you here"
right before andrea was able to open the door, glenn and daryl came inside. daryl looked around at the group, "rick and shane ain't back?"
fear grew inside everyone as genevieve spoke, "no"
"we heard a shot" glenn said, glancing at everybody
"maybe they found randall?"
looking at each other, daryl replied, "we found him"
"is he back in the shed?" amoura asked, stepping forward
"he's a walker"
silence flooded the room. surprised, herschel questioned, "did you find the walker that bit him?"
"weird thing is he wasn't bit" glenn replied
"his neck was broke" daryl continued, "the thing is, shane and randall's tracks were right on top of each other. and shane ain't no tracker, so he didn't come up behind him. they were together"
lori stepped closer to daryl, almost begging, "would you please get back out there, find rick and shane and find out what the earth is going on?"
nodding, daryl started walking away, "you got it"
loud growls and footsteps were heard from inside the house. looking at each other, the group made their way to the front porch and watched in horror
a massive herd heading towards the house
"patricia, kill the lights" herschel whispered
andrea turned to go back in the house, "i'll get the guns"
anxiety creeped through as glenn asked, "maybe they're just passing, like the herd on the highway. should we go inside?"
"unless there's a tunnel downstairs that i don't know about" daryl spoke with sarcasm, "a herd that size would rip the house down"
getting lost in staring at the walkers, everyone was pulled back into reality as lori came outside in a panic
"carl's gone. he- he was upstairs. i can't find him anywhere"
"maybe he's hiding?" glenn stupidly suggested
frantic, lori replied, "he's supposed to be upstairs. i'm not leaving without my boy"
"we're not. we're gonna look again. we're gonna find him" carol said, trying to calm her down
carol and lori ran back inside as the others stand on herschel's porch, stressing out. preparing to fight, genevieve and herschel starting loading up their guns
"genny-" glenn started but he was quickly cut off
"you grow up country, you pick up a thing or two"
herschel cocked his gun, "you can go if you want" speaking to the group
"you gonna take 'em all on?" daryl asked, unsure
"we have guns. we have cars" he replied
supporting herschel, andrea added, "kill as many as we can. and we'll use the cars to lead the rest of them off the farm"
still unsure, daryl asked, "are you serious?"
"this is my farm. i'll die here" herschel replied before walking away
