I was born in Whitechapel, England, on 5/12/1846. My family was a popular fishing family and have been for generations. At the age of twenty I wanted to get a degree in law, to make a name for myself and not only be known for fishing. My father didn't enjoy it when I brought it up. He said that it is dangerous and I would die a horrible death. I, of course, didn't listen. I wouldn't believe him. When I moved out I got a wife, and started practicing law. After a while I found out that she was pregnant with my child. I was ecstatic after that and I swore that I would protect her and our kid with every ounce of my strength.

I was with a student officer named Oliver. He was a strange lad with his long orange hair, he kept it in a tight messy bun on his head so it wouldn't get in his way. The year was 1888 when I got this case. It was a woman's body mangled and found in an alley. I couldn't believe someone would do something like this. I took over the case immediately, I couldn't let someone like that go. After a few more days my wife told me she was pregnant with our second child. I was happy, of course.

After being on the case for a long time, I got a note written in barely legible handwriting. It said that if I didn't drop the case something terrible would happen. I didn't believe it, it was just a vague threat that seemed to not hold any meaning. I showed my wife the letter and she agreed. The next day I went into work continuing the case.

After a long day I went home. But when I got in the house… I was hit with the rancid smell of death. I went frantic looking for my wife and kid. When I found them, I couldn't believe it. I will not say what this scene looked like, I don't want to remember it, all I will say is that any man's pride would've shattered. I was devastated. The next day, I got another letter.. in the same handwriting. It said "I warned you. Stop the case, or else." I wasn't going to back down, even after this. I needed to resolve this and see this killer hanged. A couple days later I almost found out who it was at home. I heard a knock so I opened the door. I was pushed back and pinned.

The next thing I know, I could see my own body, bloodied and mangled.
