To sum it up Klaus catches Katerina and shows her the monster he really is, therefore, Katerina needed to hide with the help of Trevor a vampire, although you know what happens in tvd this story is a little different. with a baby on the way Katerina couldn't just kill herself she needed allies, people to keep her safe Trevor introduced her to rose (also a vampire) who owed a little cottage on the edge of England. it was isolated, quiet and cozy, perfect for Katerina. They became friends (sort of).
Months after she finally gave birth to the most significant baby. Katerina knew that her baby was special, powerful. she instantly fell in love with her child. "it's a girl." rose cried out. Katerina thought it was best to name the child Jessica after 'allies' she had to make going through this. a long time passed it was silent yet exciting. Katerina and Jessica (who was all grown up) decided to take a stroll through the woods. They both hadn't been out of the cottage for years with rose only popping out frequently to get food. The meadows were beautiful, with clear blue skies and the noise of birds squeaking in the distance. Jessica ran as far as she could disappearing into the tall wheat that was growing through the whole field.
Jessica was 11 years old, for her age she knew too much. Jessica knew she was special, she could do magic. but she also had a huge temper. it was hard for Jessica to focus on little things. Her power sometimes worried Katerina and Rose within the cottage but the love Katerina had for her was far too strong. No one was taking her little girl away. "hey Jessica catch this." Katerina threw a rubber ball towards Jessica.Jessica was smiling hands out ready to catch it. "I've got it mum." she said pacing back a few steps looking into the air. "whoosh" the ball stopped. Someone caught it. "mum?"Jessica said concerned. "it's okay sweetie come here." the hand that caught was familiar. It was Klaus.
Jessica ran towards her mother leaping into her arms. "hello love. it looks like you have something that belongs to me." Klaus said without satisfaction. He knew Jessica was his and a tribrid with extraordinary power. Although he also needed Katerina to break his curse. Ethier way Klaus would get what he wanted. "Klaus.." Katerina spoke looking like she had seen a ghost. Jessica hugged Katerina attached to her legs, hiding from this new face. Katerina was scared. Klaus showing up had ruined her perfect life. It stirred horrible flashbacks from the past. "ill be back Katerina to get you and our child." Klaus wooshed off within the blink of an eye.
Katerina ran back into the cottage to Rose. Breathing very fast she packed a bag for Jessica. "take care of her, keep her safe? please." she said to Rose. "of course, I will." Rose responded quickly. "hey, your hurt." rose exclaimed, "it is fine." Katerina said tracing her hand through he hair rushing. she must have cut her leg on a rock while running here. "here. take my blood." Rose said. Katerina stared at her wrist blood oozing out of the two holes from her own fangs. Katerina held rose arms and slowly moved them towards her mouth drinking her blood. The feeling was immaculate as if she was high. It gave her strength and the ability to think. Her leg healed instantly. Not one single mark. "thanks." Katerina said opening the door for her and rose . Jessica didn't want to leave, she clung to her mother with everything. "hey I love you. remember that I'll see you again, rose will keep you safe." Katerina assured Jessica. She looked up at Katerina and let her go. "I love you too mom."
with Rose and Jessica on the road. Katerina had to find a way out. Klaus couldn't be defeated. she left the cottage and started running. Klaus by now would be catching up. "where do you think you're going." his English accent was rich and sharp. Katerina had no time to talk she kept running. "you're not gonna get far." Klaus vamp speeded in front of her. Katerina stepped back terrified. She knew what she had to do to keep Jessica safe. away from him, to survive. "you want me so bad? take me." Katerina said with such courage. "certainly." Klaus boasted. "But can you still have me if I'm dead." in that split second Katerina was terrified she picked a thick wooden stick and fiercely pierced it through her stomach. "NO!" Klaus pleaded. Katerina fell to the ground with a tear in her eye. That tear rolled down her cheek "I'll see you again." she repeated from when she was talking to Jessica. Klaus bit his wrist and wooshed to her. He was too late. Katerina took her last breath.
Klaus looks down at Katerina's corpse with anger. "AHHHHH," he screamed punching a tree that fell down with his strength. He walked off leaving her lifeless body on the ground. back at a carriage that Klaus had arrived in. He was furious needed something to control his temper. "we're going." Klaus proclaimed with a tone like stone. "wheres the girl?" Elijah questions with such loyalty in his voice. "she's dead." Klaus sniffed and threw a rock against a tree in anger. The rest of the ride was silent. Klaus planning his revenge-seeking to know where Jessica had run off to and who else was with her. Who knew where they were going.
Back in the dark woods where Katerina's body was laying on the hard mud ground against a fallen over tree. *gasp* Katerina caught her breath as she awoke. looking around it was dark with a few stars spread across a black sky. Katerina. All she could think about was the hunger that she had for blood and that there was none in sight. What has she done?
