"What.. What is it?" Ziggy asked in confusion of what Alice was showing us.
It was a hand of some sort. For some reason I felt uneasy. The hand looked like it was a million years old. Who knows who has touched it?
"It's Sarah Fier's lost hand." Alice inhaled deeply as she spoke. You could tell she was scared, no matter what silly face she put on herself. You could really tell.
"Nurse Lane.. She spent her entire life looking for this. A way to stop the curse that took her daughter." Cindy says.
"Without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm. The curse will last until body and hand unite." Alice quotes, her breath hitching. "I mean, this led us to the hand bone." And if the legend everybody says is true, that means her body's still buried-"
"Underneath the Hanging Tree." I finish, "Oh my god."
"We can end this.. No more murders, no more curse, no more..." Cindy stops for a second, looking over at Tommy. "Pain. We.. We can save Shady Side. Tonight!"
Ziggy grabs the hand, taking a closer look at it. For some reason, her nose starts to bleed.
"Ziggy, you're nose is bleeding." I say, she looks up at me, then her eyes widening and her body shaking.
"Ziggy!" I exclaim, grabbing her hands, calming her down.
"My nose.." Ziggy gasps, "I bled on the hand and.. I think I just saw her."
"..Who? Who did you see?" I question.
"Sarah Fier." Ziggy says, "She was.. She was angry."
"We have to bury this thing... right fucking now." Alice says, me nodding my head in agreement.
Cindy runs to get something as me, Alice, and Ziggy wait at the table.
"Do you guys think that we'll end this?" I ask nervously.
"Definitely."
"I think so."
Cindy runs back, giving Ziggy a shovel and handing me one. She then gets one for herself, coming back and gripping on it harshly.
"Okay, let's go." Cindy says, getting ready to leave.
"What, do I have to use my hands?" Alice questions.
"No, you are staying here."
"C'mon, I can hop just fine!"
I shake my head in disagreement, she was in no position where she could help us.
Alice takes in a deep breath, then talking about her backstory and how badly she wanted to save Shady side.
I couldn't really focus on what she was saying, well, not until I heard someone walking behind Alice.
