Sometime during the week, Marko was able to have Kayle checked by a doctor and her blood and urine came back positive that she was pregnant. So they decided to hold the reception with Jerick's sister at Hallowed Dream Haven.
"Are you getting nervous?" Asks Marko.
"Actually, no I'm not. You would think I would be." Replies Jerick.
"Considering everything the two of you have gone through over the last few weeks, that might explain why, don't you think so?" Asks Marko.
"You might be right. I wonder how Kayle's holding up." Replies Jerick.
"No need to worry, Nora and your sister are with her. I'm surprised how many wolves in this haven were willing to attend." States Marko.
"That threw me off too. Even Castella is attending." Replies Jerick.
Marko points out "I don't think she had a choice in the matter. If you remember, she did threaten Kayle causing you to turn."
"You do have a valid point." Replies Jerick.
"Let me have a quick look at you." States Marko.
Jerick steps in front of Marko so he can double-check everything. Once Marko gives his approval, Jerick heads in the direction of the main hall near the foyer.
Elizabeth's Room
"That dress looks absolutely beautiful on you Kayle." States Elizabeth.
"Does it really?" Asks Kayle as she examines herself in the standing mirror. "No doubt about it. There's no need to be so self-conscious about it." States Nora. "I got this for you as a present." Says Elizabeth as she hands Kayle a purple corsage. "Would you do the honor?" Asks Kayle.
"For my soon-to-be sister-in-law, I'd love to." States Elizabeth as she takes the corsage and puts it in Kayle's hair.
With a warm smile, Nora says "If you have a daughter, you can pass this down to her when it's her turn."
"Thanks, Nora, for helping me." Replies Kayle.
Nora says "That's what friends are for."
"Alright Kayle, I need you to come here so I can make sure everything is in order." States Elizabeth.
"Plus, you don't want to keep Jerick waiting at the altar do you?" Asks Nora.
Standing in the middle of the room, Kayle says "The both of you are right. Let's get this last little bit done so I can meet him at the altar."
After Elizabeth and Nora finish the final preparations, Kayle, with Nora in tow, walks to the main hall. The music reverberates off the walls of the main hall and could be heard throughout the whole haven. As Kayle enters, everyone in attendance stands and watches as she
slowly makes her way down the aisle until she stands next to Jerick. The ceremony begins with Jerick giving his vows and Kayle following after. Once that is done, Jerick takes the ring his sister had entrusted to Kayle and places it on her wedding finger, with that, Kayle takes her father's ring and places it on Jerick's wedding finger. After they kiss, the whole hall breaks out with cheers and applause for the two of them.
Insurgent Vampire Haven
"Have you heard the news?" Asks a squeaky voice.
"Are you talking about the noble's daughter that's getting married to a werewolf noble's son?" Asks a rough voice.
"That would be it." Replies the squeaky voice.
"What of it?" Asks the rough voice.
"Well, from what I heard, the noble's daughter killed another noble. So, now the head council is on a manhunt for her head." Replies the squeaky voice.
