Black Hues

August 8, 2020..

The day Sunghoon started highschool. He woke up to his alarm, ringing and annoyingly playing for minutes until he got out of bed. His mother preparing breakfast and his lunch for the day while he was brushing his teeth. An hour goes by, he was dressed, and has eaten breakfast. He went to his bus stop, waiting for the bus to arrive at early in the morning, 7am.

He arrives at his high school. Taeyang High School of Daegu. He gets dropped off, a few blocks down. On the way to school, he stopped at the local convenience store to buy drinks for lunch later in the day. He buys what he wanted, and he leaves to go walk to school. 

The clock hits 8:05am.

The first class starts, and all the students rush to get to class. Everyone sits down. Teacher comes into the classroom. "Students, sit down, today we will be making introductions". Everyone sighs, and listens. "You", the teacher points at Sunoo. Wearing the school uniform. Glasses. Quiet.

Sunoo stands up slowly, he seems nervous and introverted. "Say your name, say where you were born and a fact about you, please", the teacher said. "I- I'm Kim Sunwoo... a-and i was born here in daegu... i-i'm korean-japanese".
"thank you sunwoo, you may take a seat", the teacher kindly said. Sunwoo nodded.

"Okay! Second volunteer?", the teacher exclaimed. Sunghoon raised his hand, "i will". Tall. Handsome. "Okay, go ahead", the teacher said. "Hi i'm Park Sunghoon, I was born Daegu, and I model." girls ooh-ing. the girl in the back whispered to her friend, I would totally want to be his girlfriend. other girls comment,  he's totally my type. "Thank you so much Sunghoon, you may sit down".
Everyone else introduced themselves.

Lunchtime starts.

12:05 pm.

All the students walk their way to the cafeteria.
Everyone awes. Everybody is in shock, the cafeteria looks very organized, almost like a store-café that a top-star would drink or hang out at. Kind of like sm entertainment's café.

"wah~ it looks absolutely incredible!"

"i would come to school even on the weekends just to come here!", another student expressed.

Every student is making comments on how the cafeteria looks, because it looks to good to be true.

Students line up to get their tasty lunch food, the food looks delicious, everyone excited to eat their first meal of the first day of High school. Kimchi fried rice. Side of tteobokki, and soda of their choice. As everyone sits down at their tables, from afar, Sunoo is sitting alone.

No one seemed to be interested to be friends with the introverted freshman guy, but Sunghoon.

Sunghoon and Sunoo have been friends since 6th grade, middle school. They do small talk, yet keep their friendship alive. They are about the same age, Sunghoon is 16, and Sunoo is 15.
They enjoy going out to the PC rooms, locally.
Some days they would go take a trip all the way north and hang around hongdae or itaewon.

Sunghoon taps on his shoulder, "hey, i'm gonna sit next you, how are you feeling?".
Sunghoon puts his tray down, and starts eating. "Well, you know, a bit nervous because it's our first year of high school—" he didn't finish his sentence when Sunghoon interrupts him, "Relax! It'll be okay! You got me, i'll always be here", Sunghoon reassuringly tells Sunoo. "Thank you, Sunghoon", he continues, "You know, have you heard of the rumors that the seniors here are bullies?", nervously asks sunghoon. Sunghoon confidently replies, "And? They don't scare me. If they were to try to bully me, i'd probably bully them back".

Sunoo sighs with concern. "You got to be careful, Sunghoon... You're a model.. If you were to get in trouble by getting into a fight, your reputation will be done!". Sunghoon responds, "I'll be okay, don't worry, I'll try my bestest to not get into any fights... plus! it's just our first year here.. I don't think it's in our best interest to get on bad terms with anybody here, anyways". Sunoo agrees. "Eat up! we don't have much time left and our food's gonna turn cold!". Sunghoon and Sunoo laugh and start to finish their food.

Bell rings.

12:45 pm.

Last class starts.

Students put their trays on the dirty tray shelf, as they exit the cafeteria's doors, students on their way to their last class of the day.

"Alright students, sit down. Take out your notebooks, we'll be briefly talking about the history of the korean dynasty." Everyone proceeded to take out their notebooks, and start writing down notes in their aesthetic notebooks.

Sunghoon taps on Sunoo's shoulder. Sunghoon saw that Sunoo fell asleep accidentally, so he tried to wake him up. "Hey, Sunoo, you're going to get in trouble if the teacher sees you asleep, wake up!", Sunghoon quietly but firmly whispered into Sunoo's ears. Few minutes go by, Sunoo woke up to Sunghoon standing in front of his desk with his arms crossed.

"You know you slept through all the lesson, and the class ended 30 minutes ago, right?", Sunghoon said with a angrily yet disappointed tone. With tired and raspy voice Sunoo said, "I know, I guess the food made me feel tired, I think that's what happened". "Whatever, let's go, I think we missed the bus, we need to walk home, Sunoo."

2:07 pm

They start walking out of the school, it's beautiful outside. Cherry blossom trees thriving. Sunoo comments. "Hey, look at the cherry blossom trees! They look so nice!", he said. "Right? I call for a meal!", Sunghoon happily exclaimed. "You pay?", Sunoo asked.
"Of course! Food on me! Call?", happy Sunghoon said. "Call!", Sunoo smirked, with a happy face.

They arrived at the restaurant, a very busy one.
They sit down at one of the available tables, and start ordering food. The place was full of the tasty smell of cooked and fresh korean food. As they were talking, a lady that was sitting alone, caught their eyes. Sunoo was originally looked first. "Hey, look at that gorgeous girl sitting over there", he subtly pointed her for Sunghoon.

"Damn, yeah she is really pretty, I think i've seen her at school", Sunghoon said. "Wait really?", Sunoo with a shocked face.
"Yup! She looks familiar", Sunghoon said as he puts his hand on his chin. "Well, look! The waitress is coming with our food", Sunoo excitedly said.
