The Date

Luz's POV:
(4 months before)
"Luz I'm going to the store for apple blood be right back" Eda yells at me. Like always.

"Be safe and please don't get caught by the Emperor please!" I shouted back.

"You know it!" She shut the door and locked it. I sat on my chair at my desk thinking about a way to get back home bringing friends in and out if I wanted to. As I started writing ideas and blueprints, Amity called. "Crap our date is today how could I forget?" I muffled under my breath as I went in my closet to find something to wear.

I answered the phone while ironing a black pair of pants and a white button up. "Hey Luz I'm coming to your house give me 5" "C-cool I'll be ready for you"
"Alright see you otter with a dark side" Amity giggles
"Yeah yeah very funny" I chuckled as I hung up

*5 minutes later*

"How are you amity?" I said while blushing. "Good thanks for asking!" She was wearing a red dress with white heels and she was glistening as the sunlight hit her.
"Wow you look stunning Luz" Amity claimed
"You don't look so bad yourself Blight" I added.
"Well are you ready to go?" "Yep"

Me and Amity walked to a place called goblin-fil-A
And of course I opened the door as the romantic woman I am.
"Ugh your such a romantic" Amity chuckled
"Yep I guess I am" I exclaimed as I closed the door behind us.

Amity's POV:

"Yep I guess I am" Luz exclaimed as she closed the door behind us. I never acknowledged that Luz was the romantic type because she mostly covers it up with weirdness. Not that I don't like it.

"So.. how is finding your way home going?" I tried to spark a convo since this was our first date and I wanted it to be special.

"Truth?" Luz questioned
I nodded my head.
"It's not doing so great. I haven't got nowhere other than realms I'm not wanting."

I paused for a second. As much as I wanted Luz to stay, I wanted her to be with her mom. "Well remember when you went on a field trip?"
She nodded.
"I snuck out and went there myself  days later and saw a jar of titan blood"
"WHAT"

I giggled because everyone was looking at her when she yelled
"I mean what?"
Luz corrected herself while clearing her throat
"Your such an idiot. Anyways, I would have told u sooner if I knew this was your goal but now that I do..." I paused as I grabbed spy devices and suits from my bag.

"We can complete that goal in about 2 months"
"Four months?"
"I can't do it any sooner because that's the only way we can slip through in a shift change?"
"I guess I can live with that. And I really wanna say that..." Luz paused making me nervous. Luz got up leaning towards me. In shock I push her face away.

She sat back down embarrassed and face red.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Hello would you guys like to order a refreshment?" The waiter interrupted.
"No thank you"
The waiter walked away as Luz got up and went through the door.
"Luz wait!" I said rushing after her.
I never had somebody even think of me like that.
