Amity's POV:
I tried running after Luz but she was already gone.
"Oh crap Eda is going to kill me if I don't find her in the next 20 minutes" I went through the forest into the place where we had beat Grom together.
"Luz where are you?" I panicked.
"Right here" Luz said "I'm sorry I just thought that after Grom I had a chance...at least a slim one"
I paused for a second. I knew I liked her back but if I told her and she could open the portal but not more than once, we would never work out. On the other hand she has the blueprint and ideas so it might wor-
"Amity?"
Crap lost track of thought
"Yes?"
"So do you not feel the same way?"
"In what?"
I wasn't paying attention so I didn't know what she said.
"What do you mean in what? Have you been listening at least a little or am I just a joke to y-"
I could not lose the person I like the most so I grabbed her by the button up and kissed her.
It felt like an electric volt just went up my ass and to my heart. I wanted it to last forever but I eventually thought about my parents and if they knew.
"My god I- I'm so sorry!" And I was literally panicking Luz grabbed me by the neck and kissed me. And before I knew it, she was on top of me. But we are still 14 year olds so we didn't overdo it so we just made out.
*5 minutes later*
Luz's POV:
"Holy crap thats my second kiss!" I jumped in joy
"Woah woah woah who was your first kiss?"
I paused in embarrassment for a second.
"Hooty"
I saw Amity's face turn in shock as I told her that.
"WHAT"
"Wait before you get all upset I wasn't paying attention and hooty was in front of me and...yea. But anyways, I gotta get home so bye"
I skipped home thinking about the make out session But I also thought of how long 4 months would last. I took out a picture of me and my mom. Also my dad but his face was ripped off the picture.
"I promise I will find a way back. No matter how much it takes"
*The next day*
"Luz get up your gonna be late if your not ready in ten!" Eda yelled
I eventually got up and brushed my teeth. I put my cat hoodie on and leggings over my shorts.
I was walking to hexide when a beast came right behind me.
"WHAT THE SNICKERDOODLE"
I ran as fast as I can trying to grab glyphs from my pocket. I ran all the way to hexide seeing if the principal could help.
"SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE"
Everybody started running since the beast was like 12 feet tall. The beast ended up snatching Luz up and throwing her to a wall causing her to break her arm.
She yelped in pain as she tried to climb and while she was doing that, the beast picked her and was going to eat her until...
"Get away from her!" Amity yelled the beast dropped which made me hit my head going unconscious. I had visions of my mother and amity getting together and enjoying it.
It began to drift away. I thought to myself 'will I ever be able to get the door open?'
