In the year 2045, Humanity was faced with its biggest foe yet: Extinction. The science and defence team found a meteorite, larger than the one to cause the dinosaurs to cease to exist was hurtling towards earth. They estimated it to hit the earth in six years. Bio-Cycle, a company dedicated to aging skin products and human mortality designed the Cycle pods. Pods that would make a human become preserved for as long as needed. Many were selected to be preserved, over 800 made it into the test program and participated in the test in multiple facilities worldwide, however before the pods could be released to the public the meteor hit the earths atmosphere and came hurtling closer to its surface. The earth was hit and all human life ceased to exist.

The large abandoned facility stood tall as its structures became eroded and taken over by nature, using its skeleton as a means of life. Trees, vines and all sorts of plants shot out from tis tiled floors, creeped and snuck out its shattered window frames. Skeletons littered the area, draped in shrouded gowns of plant life as blankets of green. The door was blasted of its hinges falling with an eerie creak as the foot of a solider kicked it down. Four figures entered clad in full armoured SWAT suits, weapons at hand as they scouted the reception. The taller one signalled it was safe and they looked around.

"TJ look. A map of the facility.. I bet this is where we need to look"

One of the men addressed the leader as he walked over to the elevator, the map was dirtied and the lights had gone out long ago, only illuminated by the beam of their torches. His gloved finger followed the mossy trail and pointed to a lower area that was named 'Preserving hall'. The other two men returned shaking their heads.

"The stairwell is no use. Its chainned up tighter than Joey's mum"

The shorter one said earning a slap from the one presumable to be Joey.

"Not cool man" He sneered and was cut off by the woman of their group who sighed.

"Okay, How about we try the elevator shaft? The door is open and I'm sure we can use it to get down to the level the pods are"

The leader said and crouched down by the shaft, lighting and throwing a flare down. She watched the red light consume the dark tunnel and sink lower and lower, eventually disappearing and hitting the bottom with a clang. She the removed her bag and set up a rope throwing it over the edge. She finished attaching the cords to her belt and looking back at the other two before she began her descent down the shaft. Slowly she lowered herself down, her boots touched the ground. TJ removed the ropes and pulled up her rifle, the flashlight attachment lit up the closed doors.

"Shoot. How do we get in?"

She muttered and paused her thought process as the doors flung open, one of them creaking to a stop as the other opened fully. She turned to see Joey with a pocketknife in his hand and the panel on the wall open, multiple wires spewed out as he stepped back and grinned. She rolled her eyes and shimmied through the half open door, entering the dark room.

"Shouldn't there be.. like pods?"

Joey's voice run out as they walked, closing the small distance to reach a door with voltage warning signs on it. A sign was screwed to the door and read out 'Preserving Hall'. They two held their breaths as TJ kicked to door open and entered. the two came across a long hallway, with multiple pods lined the walls, illuminating the dark space with a eerie green light. They began to walk through the hall looking at all the pods. Some where cracked and held corpses inside, many skeletons or some decomposing still. Joey was absent midly looking at the pods on his left when something caught his eye.

"Hey Cap, I think we have one"

The came to his side and they both looked at the pod. It appeared to be in working order, the monitors showing a small indication of a heartbeat, softly letting out a beep. The man inside appeared to be young, and in a dormant sleep as he slightly floated within the green substance.
Joey looked at the controls and frowned.
