First POV
Adalie
"This is stupid Diana" I grumbled the words with deep hatred. My sister Diana sat down on my bed as she heard those words.
"I know Adalie, but what can we do. The prince of Alkain specifically requested a blue-eyed beauty. I would go in your place if I could. But yeah.." she said dejectedly, her emerald orbs looking at me with guilt.
"Why can't William marry those damn savages, he is a blue-eyed 'beauty' " I huffed my annoyance and Diana lightly chuckled at my comment. "I'll be damn if the prince would marry William. Besides, you and I know he is the next successor of our kingdom"
"Fine, I'll do this for our people and father." I felt dejected as those words left my mouth. Diana, noticed my mood and hugged me tightly. "It will be fine, we will visit." She said softly trying to console me.
"You better" those words were said in the hope for a promise that must be kept.
The doors to my chamber opened and a young man with blonde hair, blue eyes, with a strong jawline came in. He was wearing his trousers and tunic in the color of red and gold as embroidery of patterns made his clothing more regal. "Let us go Adalie" my brother William, said with impatience dripping from his tone. I nodded to Diana one last time.
It didn't take long and we were in a carriage heading to the kingdom of Alkain. We didn't bring a whole battalion for our journey as that would mean that our kingdom would seem afraid to trust Alkain. For the treaty to work, common trust must be laid out. Thus, only the elite knights of our kingdom accompanied our journey. These 20 knights would die first before any harm would come to me or William.
Although it was a small brigade for our journey the rough terrain still hindered our way. Uneven roads and the occasional small villages were seen. Although the travel was slow it allowed you to witness the vast open fields that villagers plowed to make a living. The forest was both magnificent and eerie. The shallow meadow, the flowing lake, the chirping birds. It was a wonder how nature could be so beautiful and inviting.
But as all journey goes, sitting on a carriage for five days with nothing to do, but stare at the passing scenery. It wasn't unexpected that the majestic view became ordinary and unappreciated once again.
"We are close Prince William" one of the knights informed.
I couldn't care less for the rest of the report as my eyelids slowly became heavy and the world of dreams welcomed me.

"Adalie wake up, we have arrived" my brother stated as he got out of the carriage. The dark stary night and the cold night breeze greeted me as I awoke from my slumber. My eyes Immediately drifted to the looming place that had the dominant color of white and blue.It seems we have already entered the kingdom when I was asleep making me lose the chance to see its town.
It didn't take long as a white-robed middle-aged man greeted us and led us to the guest chambers.
"We appreciate your swift arrival. We know that you have traveled long, so Milord wanted you to please rest for tonight and all other businesses would proceed at the earliest bell tomorrow" he stated and left.
"Fucking bastard! Not even greeting us" My brother said, anger and impatience can be seen in his expression. I honestly couldn't care less if the king or the prince or whatever royals would greet us, I'm just grateful I could turn in for the night after that exhausting journey. So I went into my chamber and prepared myself to sleep, and sleep I did.

It was a beautiful morning, it was a little awkward getting changed by the servants that I wasn't familiar with. Nonetheless, it wasn't such an issue. I noticed that the first bell hasn't rung, so I decided to explore the white-filled garden they had. What surprised me though wasn't the beauty of the flowers, but the man surrounded by these flowers. His striking blue eyes focused heavily on the flower on his hand. His ebony long hair stood out among the white field. His blue kimono that have intricate patterns suggested that the man was of high standing. After all, the people I have seen in the palace all wore white robes or white kimonos with no embroidery.
The man noticed that someone was staring at him since his gaze shifted from the flower to me. His eyes softened as a light smile appeared on his lips. "Are you lost?" He asked, it took me a full two-second, for me to recover my composure. "No, I just wanted to see the flowers"
He nodded at my answer as his eyes traveled all over me seemingly observing details, when he finished this assessed observation he said "you must be the princess of Laynia, a pleasure to meet you. I am-" before he could finish his introduction a man with a scar on his face, giving off an intimidating appearance appeared and whispered something. He nodded at whatever was said to him and turned his attention to me.
"I apologize for cutting this short, but it seems that I am urgently needed" he kissed my silk-covered hand and left without looking back.
'Was that the Prince?' I asked heat rising from my cheeks as the morning sun seemed to be affecting me.
A few seconds after the first bell rang signaling that it was time to do business. I asked the nearest servant for direction and headed straight to it.
