A Thousand Years

Final

                                                                  ……

                I feel light; I feel cold…I feel new. My mind is hazy, but clear, all the same…

                                I open my eyes, and find myself staring up at the trees. I sit up slowly, and look down at myself, my body, cold, lifeless. My blood is dry, my tears are gone, and my life is over.

                My new life, however, has hardly begun…

                I look around frantically, and see him, walking with his back to me, away from my body. I freeze in shock for a moment, but quickly race up to him, and appear in front of him.

                ‘Jack!’

                His eyes snap open, and his mouth widens in fear and despair. His voice is a weak whisper, full of pain and happiness, ‘…Lea…’ he lets out a shaky breath.

                I smile, as he looks over my new form, and for the first time, he touches my hand. He smiles sadly, letting a small airy laugh escape his lips. He stares down at our hands, finally, touching together, the same temperature.

                I whisper, ‘Now I can love you…’

                ‘I didn’t want you…like this…I didn’t want to do this to you, to have you…’ his smile disappears, as well as mine.

                ‘You didn’t do this to me…’ He shakes his head, his eyes glossy. I hear his breath hitch. ‘But this is better for the both of us…’ He looks at me, filled with misunderstanding. I sigh, smiling, ‘Don’t you see? Now we have a thousand years…’

                ‘And many more…’ His hand brushes my cheek as he pulls me in slowly, and for the first time, our first out of many more to come, he places a kiss on my lips, gently, and passionately. I lay my arms around his shoulders as he cradles the back of my neck, kissing my cheeks, my nose, forehead, and my hands. He sighs, ‘I’ve wanted your kiss…for so long…’ And he brings me back to his lips once more, gently, beginning one small part of an eternity.

Alrighty! The end. Hope you all enjoyed it. Sorry it's so short but I wanted to try to write just a small story. I guess it turned out...? I don't know. You tell me. Anyways I hope you liked it ^_^ I actually did. The ending is very rushed so sorry for that, but I  knew exactly what I wanted to say, i just couldn't write it so it fit my expectations...so yeah this is what came out from that. Either way, thanks ya sooooooooo much for reading! Bii!
