Author's POV

You checked the object in your hand and sighed.

Negative again.

It's been a while since you are taking a pregnancy test but it's negative every time. Which caused an unknown fear inside you.

You came out of the washroom and got engaged in the household chores.

You are, Rhee Y/n, a well-known model. You were married to Jeon Jungkook a year ago. He took over his father's company and is the CEO now.
It was purely an arranged marriage.

You didn't have any problem marrying Jungkook but was it the same on the other side?  After you got married to him you got to know he used to have a girlfriend with whom he broke up few months before your marriage. The reason was still unknown to you but you believed maybe this marriage is the reason. Since his father cleared to him that he can only be CEO if he marries you, as he gave this a promise to your father years ago.

Jungkook's father loves you like his own daughter. His mother too adores you very much. And about Jungkook you don't know if he likes or loves you not. He does treat you as his wife and takes care of you. But you don't know if he really loves you or just thinks of you as a bounded responsibility.

Whereas you, slowly fell for him in only three months.

His mother is very desperate to see her grandchild. She did talk to you both about it too many times. Thinking about it carefully and being ready for this step you and Jungkook tried to take your relationship to the next level. You were ready to have a child with him but does he wants it? Or is it just because of his mother's wish?

You don't know. Sometimes these pending questions make you think if your relationship even has any meaning.

But whatever it is. He never hurt you. Moreover, sometimes you don't understand his feelings. He never said "I love you" to you nor did you said. But his actions always speak his feelings out. 

[Time Skip]

You were sitting on the couch reading some emails related to your profession when Jungkook entered. You got up and bought a glass of water for him and handed him. He drink it and smiled at you.

Jungkook : Thank you.

You also smiled at him and asked him to freshen up while you set the table. He went upstairs and you settled the dinner.

After having dinner, you both went to your bedroom.

He laid on the bed and you went in his arms cuddling him. This was something you wait a whole day for. Being in his arms makes you so peaceful.

Y/n : How was your day today.

You had your eyes closed while he was stroking your hair.

Jungkook : Pretty hectic but it's better now.

He said with a little smile making you smile too.

Y/n : I want to tell you something....

Jungkook : I am listening.....

Y/n : I took the test again........ but it was.... negative again.....I am sorry but I-

Jungkook : It's okay Y/n. You don't need to apologize for it. But now I am thinking that we should visit the doctor. What do you say?

You just nodded. You understand what he was implying.

Jungkook : Okay, then I am taking a day after tomorrow's appointment is that fine with you.

Y/n : Yes it is. And Mom will come tomorrow what will I answer her if she asks about it to me?

Jungkook sensed you are a little afraid.

Jungkook : Don't worry I will handle her.

Jungkook words assured you. You nodded but still feel a little afraid

Y/n : You should sleep now, you must be tired.

Jungkook : Yeah....

He pulled you closer and turn off the lights. It isn't him who needs cuddles while sleeping but you especially when you are nervous.

[Next Day]

There was silence as you all were eating dinner. Mr. And Mrs. Jeon visited you today and now you were having dinner with them along with Jungkook.

You were just praying his mom doesn't ask you the same question again. You don't know how to answer her questions anymore.

Mrs. Jung : Y/n sweety.....

Your heart started racing at its full speed when she took your name. By now you already know what's coming next.

Y/n : Y-Yes Mom?
You nervously asked her.

Mrs. Jeon : Daughter it's already more than a year since you both married but still there is no sign of the good news yet.....

You just looked down.

Jungkook : Mom please not now.

Mrs. Jeon: Then when? It's not like I love to bring this topic up. Don't you both want to have a child together? Don't know about you but I want to see my grandchild before I die, I have some wishes to fulfill. I have already lost my one child, Jungkook is now my only son and I wish to see his kids before I die.

You both kept quiet. Mrs. Jeon sighed.

Mrs. Jeon : Y/n, my child I want to ask you something.....

You looked up at her.

Mrs. Jeon : Come inside.

She got up and went inside one of the rooms. You looked at Jungkook who nodded reassuringly at you before following her.

You went inside and she looked at you.

Mrs. Jeon : Y/n I didn't want to ask this but.......
She sighed before continuing.

Mrs. Jeon : Is your relationship with my son going well? I know I shouldn't ask this but if you have any problem you can share it with me.

You shook your head.

Y/n : No mom there is nothing like that.
Mrs. Jeon : Then are you taking birth control pills?

She asked with hesitation and you looked at her widening your eyes.

Y/n : What? No mom..... believe me I am not taking any pills.

Mrs. Jeon : You see you are a model, having a child may be an obstacle in your career. So I thought you may be taking pills to give your career priority.

Y/n : No mom, please don't think like that. You are mistaken I am not taking any pills.

She nodded.

Mrs. Jeon : I am sorry if I made you uncomfortable. But you see my concern, please don't disappoint me.

You nodded and you both got out of the room.
