The Lightning and the Runes

Chapter 1

"Where's Evergreen?" Laxus, a tall, blonde, very muscular man in a fur coat asked.

"She said she needed to go with Elfman 'Under Mira's orders.'" The man who answered was a slender guy. He had long green hair and dressed very nice on all occasions. His name was Freed.

It wasn't very hard to see that Freed was blushing a little. This could be because he was a reserved man, but he knew that Evergreen, one of the two men's teammates, wasn't just with Elfman, a lovable oaf, because of his sometimes scary sisters orders. But the more likely reason for his blushing was that their other team member, Bixlow, a blue haired guy with tattoos on his face and tongue, was staying home with his "babies." This left Freed alone with Laxus. And the whole guild of Fairy Tail knew about his crush on Laxus, even though he never told a soul.

"Bixlow, then?" Laxus asked, completing role call.

"I believe he is staying home with his 'babies.' Maybe they are going to clean his house." Freed replies with a smirk. Bixlow wasn't known for cleanliness.

"Guess it's just us." Laxus said. (If you looked close you might've seen him smile.) "well, it's an easy job. Even Natsu could do it." Natsu, for those of you who live under a rock, is one of Fairy Tail's strongest young wizards, and he and Laxus have a bit of a rivalry.

Freed laughs at the joke about Natsu, and the two head off on the job. It's just a monster hunt. 3 Vulcan are terrorizing a village. Vulcan are large ape-like creatures with no manners, and when they don't get what they want they tend to destroy what they see.
