*CHRISTMAS SPECIAL CHAPTER*
***Set a few years later, after Freed and Laxus are married and have adopted 2 kids***

"Twas the night before Christmas, and all through Magnolia couples were gathering at Fairy Tail Hall. Natsu and Lucy, Gajeel and Levy, even Juvia convinced Gray to go. Dressed as a snowman, to top it off." Freed began telling this story to a young girl, who had just turned 3, and a boy who was almost 8.

"Daddy! Daddy! Where do you and Papa come in?" The little girl, Rin, asked.

"Well, you're Papa was at the hall serving guests. He had turned down every single ladies requests to dance that night. And I... Well, I was shopping.

It was our first Christmas together as a couple and I wanted to get him the perfect present. We had been together for 6 months and I thought maybe it was time to step up. So I was at Magnolia Jeweler's. There I ran into your Uncle Elfman.

'Hi Elfman. Looking at rings for Ever?' I questioned him.

'Yeah. But I don't know what to get her.' He replied.

I answered, 'For Ever? The bigger the stone the better!' I then picked up the present I got for your Papa. I had picked it out earlier in the week.

I was running a little late to the Christmas Party, so I was rushing and not looking where I was going when I ran into Evergreen. Who was crying. I had to console her. She's my team mate, and dear friend.

'I have been dating Elffy for 3 years and he has yet to pop the question!'

Now, I couldn't tell her about seeing him at the ring shop, so I just told her all in good time and we went our separate ways.

I finally arrived at the Christmas Party, just as people were starting to leave. Laxus was behind the bar helping Mira clean up. He looked so sad. I ran to the mic.

'ATTENTION!! EVERYONE!!! I know I'm late. And I really tried to get here on time, because I have something I want to say!' I spoke into the microphone.

Everyone filed back in. And I called your papa to the stage. He walked, shyly, and cutely if I may, to the stage. He was blushing redder than Natsu's flames.

'Laxus, I've loved you for years. And we've known from the beginning the was meant to be. So Laxus Dreyer, will you Marry me?' I proposed.

Your Papa blushed so hard, and he put his hands in his pockets. And when he took them out, he said 'funny, I was going to ask you the same thing!'"

"And we kissed like this" Laxus interjected and smooched his husband.

"Eeewww"

"GROSS!!"

"STOP!"

Rin and Sora, their son, interrupted.

"Alright. Alright. It's time for bed anyway." Laxus picked up Rin and Freed took hold of Sora's hand and led them to their rooms to tuck them in.

"Goodnight Daddy. Goodnight Papa."

"Goodnight, and Merry Christmas kids."
