Julius had snuck out of his office to get a glimpse at the village that had been destroyed by some bandits. He knew Marx was gonna chew his head off, but it was all worth it.
He heard quiet sniffling behind a fallen piece of stone. Curiously, the wizard king peeked behind the stone. Sitting there was a little girl in a torn, lightly burnt over sized shirt. She looked about 5. Crying to herself.
Her hand was latched onto someone's finger. A male. It must've been her father's body under the stone.
"Hey," Julius slowly walked towards the crying child and held his hands out. "Are you hurt?"
"N-No.." the child back away slowly.
"Im not gonna hurt you. Im actually a king! A king wouldn't hurt a child!" he held his hand out once more. "Are you hungry?"
Looking at the dead body once more, the child nodded slowly. "Ok," Julius picked the child up. She was light. She starved herself, refusing to leave her father. "Lets go feed you first, then we'll come back and burry these people here."

"Sir! Whose kid did you steal!?" Marx yelled when Julius returned to his office.
"She don't have anywhere else to go! You gotta have sympathy for the poor thing! She hasn't eaten in days!"
"Your the Wizard King! You most definitely cannot care for a child if you do not the time to!" Marx was about ready to tear the King's head off.
