Wedding
"Good morning Pa."
Naupo siya sa tapat ko, there are only four chairs in our dining table.
"We should hurry, you'll be preparing for your performance along with the band right?"
Namataan ko ang gitara, I almost forgot that I needed it for the performance later. I quickly grab it and then head to the car outside.
"Bye Jimmy!" I yelled to my dog. He's a golden retriever, big and lively. When mom died, dad brought Jimmie for me, he then became my best friend since I don't have one.
I was very distant to the people in our village, hindi ko kayang sabayan ang mga ginagawa nila dahil madali akong mapagod.
Dad was so busy with the church, he's the senior pastor so I understand.
When we arrive at the church, a lot welcome us, especially dad. I just smiled and go to backstage to rehearse.
"Lia!"
Napatingala ako, si Jamie I waved my hands to her and then plugged in the cords for the guitar and the monitor.
"I'm so nervous it's my first time to perform." Jamie's hands were trembling that's why I hold them.
It's not a normal Sunday because there will be a wedding. Yes, a wedding as I have said singing in front of the people, or in an occasion is not my thing but since it's a part of the wedding ceremony and the bride contracted me wala akong choice.
"I heard it's a very big wedding and may mga kilalang pamilya rin ang inbitado!" Jamie is the only one that can stand me, she's always there for me and siya lang ang tunay kong kaibigan. I don't need to have many when one can literaly be the best and true.
"Just chill ok, you're just going to sing as if they'll interrogate you," I said and tune in the guitar that I am holding.
Every time there is an event like this I always calm myself like it is nothing. A lot were asking how do I do that, well the is answer is prayers.
