We all sat down, Hyunjin sitting against me with his family. Wow. They all looked so intimidating. I glanced at Yeji but quickly looked away when I saw her stabbing the chicken while looking at me.

Hwang Inyeop: Y/n! Lovely to see you! Hyunjin's been talking about you nonstop. Tell us a bit about yourself!

Y/n: I'm sorry sir, but that's not my name...

They know my name. More than I expected.

Hwang Inyeop: Oh, I'm sorry Dear. Could you repeat it?

Y/n: Jean Naia.

He smiled mysteriously. I was not falling for his dumb charms. We ate and the servants cleaned up quickly.

Inyeop then stepped onto the pedestal, grabbed the microphone, and started giving his speech.

I sneaked into the back rooms, hearing his voice all over the hallways on the speakers. I ran through every single room looking for mom and Felix. My mind went through every library of memories because this place was too big.

(On the speakers)

Hwang Inyeop: Hello, everybody! Thank you so much for coming to the victory dinner. I am seriously grateful for your hard work on the gain of the Kleadisc. With it, we'll do great things.

Y/n: Like bombing the country? Tsch.

I said out loud and continued searching.

Hwang Inyeop: We're going to start with freeing North Korea. As all of you know the Jeons have trapped all citizens, causing them to commit suicides every day. One of them caused the death of Jeon Hoyeong, my girlfriend.

Wait. What?

Hwang I: For that, our beautiful guest will pay for the life of her, since her ugly mother already ended up in the grave. And because of our hard work, the whole family is dead!

Y/n: NO!

I fell to the floor, sobbing. I was completely alone. I was scratching my scalp and tugging on my hair, screaming at the pain of the loss of my mother. I calmed myself up and continued looking while tears were still forming.

I was running through the hallways, still trying to continue the mission.

Hwang I: Y/n, come out. Where are you? I bet you're sulking over this. How about you just come and join your family? Doesn't that sound nice?

I ignored him and finally found all of the computers not attended in a big room of desks and chairs, which almost looked like a courtroom. I stopped myself before doing anything stupid.

Wait. They were doing positive stuff, weren't they? Freeing Korea seemed like something a good person would do. Maybe my family is evil. I returned to the manor.

Suddenly I saw Hyunjin in the hallway. He stood there, while I walked over.

Hyunjin: Y/n.

Y/n: Hyunjin.

We starred intensely at each other with regrets.

Hyunjin: Y/n. I can't... let them kill you.

His eyes were filling up with water. I kissed him, reassuring him. I was afraid of separating us, I would never see him ever again.

I hugged him and seeing him this hurt felt piercing.

I let go of his embrace, seeing him falling to the floor when I left. I walked over to the door and opened it. Every pair of eyes fell on me, as I kneeled to the Hwangs. 

Hwang Yeji: Ready to join us Y/n?

I looked at her as she shocked me with her words.

Y/n: What?

Hwang Inyeop: Would you rather die Y/n?

He held out his hand for me to shake it and whispered to me.

Hwang Inyeop: Hyunjin begged me to not kill you and my son's happiness is first on the list. Welcome to our family.

He shook my hand and people started cheering for me.

Hwang Inyeop: I'm fully aware that not all people are like their parents.

Y/n: What about my mother?

Hwang Yeji: She didn't want you to experience real happiness or tell you the truth. I don't think that's the type of mom you'd miss Y/n.

Y/n: But Yuna-

Hwang Yeji: She was from another organization Y/n. She lied to all of us before, telling US to kill YOU.

I couldn't believe what I just heard.

Y/n: Jeon Ji Soo said you were bombing the country? What's that about?

Hwang Inyeop: She said she would bomb South Korea if she got the Kleadisc, so we sent Hyunjin to school to find you and kill you to prevent that from the possible catastrophes. Chaeryoung just tried doing her job but failed.

Y/n: Oh my god.

I went into this dumb mission, not even knowing anything about it. That's why they killed my whole family.

Y/n: I would be honored to work with you.

I shook his hands and Yeji's.
