Corrine's POV

I don't think anyone knows how it feels to be in love with someone for 3 years and keep it a secret. Yes I could easily stop being chicken shit and tell Shawn how I feel but I can't do that because of my biggest fear. Rejection. And besides the fact that I'm terrified of ruining our strong friendship.

Every time I like someone I end up getting rejected as soon as I spill the beans. And then I spend a month or so crying every night, mind racing, thinking why I'm never good enough. Why can't someone I like feel the same way for me? That's why I don't want to tell Shawn about my feelings. He also doesn't really act all that interested in me either so what would be the point?

I gotta get my mind off Shawn. I decided I should take a quick shower and make some plans with someone since it's the start of spring break. I crawl out of my bed, head out of my room and down the hall to the shower. Once I was in I stripped from my pajamas and turned on the water, it turned warm in a matter of seconds and I got in. I did the normal shower stuff: shave, wash my hair and body, and scrubbed my face.

I returned to my room with only a towel wrapped around me and my phone in my hand playing music. My eyes were closed as I started jamming out only to be rudely interrupted by Shawn walking into my room. I screamed then glared at him. I didn't mind that I was only in a towel because Shawn has seen my naked before. On accident of course! But after that incident I just became comfortable around him.

"Hello to you too." He said as a smile crept on his face from ear to ear.

"Sorry I just didn't expect you to come in when you did" I replied with a slight chuckle. "But since you're here wanna help me pick out an outfit?" I asked. I set out a few options for him to choose from. He observed them all very closely as if he was making sure none were to revealing. Does he like me? No Corrine stop you're making a big deal out of nothing. He ended up settling on a white Hogwarts shirt, distressed shorts, a red flannel, and black boots. (See media for pic)

I walked into my small closet and changed quickly. When I came out Shawn was laying on my bed playing on his phone. "Bored already?" I joked as I sat at my vanity and threw my hair into a cute messy bun and applied minimum makeup.

"Nope. Just waiting on you." He said peeling his eyes from his phone for a few seconds to look at me.

"Waiting on me for what?" He comes to my house un-announced and says he's waiting on me? This kid I'm telling ya.

"I was thinking we could go to the park and chill for a bit. I know how much you love the swings!" Thats true. I do love the swings. There is just something about them that relaxed me. Like when I knew something was stressing me out I would go to the park and swing for hours at a time.

"Is this a date?" I joked while playfully slapping his arm.

"If you want it to be." He said winking and then laughing after. I knew he was joking. He doesn't like me like that. But I wish he did...
