Love Potion Madness - Part One (Nalu & Gruvia)

It's a bright summer morning in Magnolia and Mira is making her way to the new potion shop in town, hoping to find something to help you cool off when the days start getting warmer. She hasn't found anything yet so she figured she might as well look there.

The doors open with a jingle and she steps in, casually walking up to the counter to request the potion.

"Hello sir, would you happen to have any potions used to cool off? Like, for a hot summer day." She states, smiling warmly. The man thinks for a while before responding.

"Yes, I think we do, it's cal-" He was cut short by a young lady requesting a love potion. The man agreed and turned back to the takeover mage. "Sorry about that, it's called Climate Adjust, it causes your body temperature to change to whatever is preferred by the drinker." Mira smiled.

"Thanks, I'll take one bottle please." The man nods and goes into a back room to grab her potion, along with the other woman's. After a few moments he returns with two bottles, handing one to the unknown lady and the other to Mira.

After thanking and paying the man, she left the store and made her way back to Fairy Tail.

"Good morning, Mira!" Lucy greeted cheerfully as she made her way over to the beautiful, white haired takeover mage.

"Hello, Lucy." She smiled warmly.

The two ladies chatted for a while when Mira suddenly thought of an idea. "Hey Lucy, you wouldn't mind trying out a new potion I just bought, would you?" She asked, trying to sound as polite as possible.

"Huh? If it's anything like your other potions, then no." Lucy responded, thinking of all the times she has tried to get people together using love or affection potions.

Mira, getting her reference, laughed lightly, "No, this potions different, it's suppose to help you cool off in the heat. I figured it would be better to try it out now, then when it starts heating up more." She sounded convincing, but Lucy wasn't quite sure.

"I'll do it if somebody else does too." She spoke, still suspicious. Mira nodded and started looking around the guild for somebody else to try it out on. Spotting Gray at a nearby table, she called out to him.

"Hey Gray!" He immediately turned to face Mira, one eyebrow raised in question. "Could you come over here for a bit?"

He stood up and walked over, confused to why she needed him. "What's up, Mira?"

"Well...I wanted to ask if you and Lucy could try out this new potion I got, it's called Climate Adjust." She smiled sweetly.

"Sure, why not." He didn't see anything wrong with it, the name didn't sound suspicious. So why not?

"Thanks guys! I'll be back in a bit." She called out, already heading back into the kitchen to prepare the potion correctly.

A few moments later, she returned with two glasses of lemonade, each containing a drop of the potion.

"Drink up!" She cheered, excited to see if the potion actually worked.

The two took the glasses, looked at each other as if to say 'good luck' and took a sip. It actually tasted pretty good. Gray gulped the rest of his down quickly while Lucy took small sips at a time. When they were finished, they looked at each other for what felt like forever, before Gray spoke up, saying something nobody would have expected the ice mage to ever say...

"Have I ever told you how gorgeous your eyes are?"

Crash

That was the sound of the glass Mira was currently cleaning, falling. She was in so much shock, along with everyone else, on what just happened. But they became even more shocked at how Lucy responded.

"Have I ever told you how sexy your hair looks?" She ran her fingers through his hair flirtatiously. Their faces inched closer and closer, until...

The guild doors suddenly burst open, revealing Happy and Natsu. They just came back from a long morning of fishing, "Hey Minna! Guess wh-" he abruptly stopped, seeing the view in front of him. Something clenched in the pit of his stomach. For some reason, the scene in front of him disturbed him, made him feel uncomfortable. And he didn't like the feeling one bit. "OI ICE PRINCESS! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING WITH LUCE!" He screamed before running up to him and tackling him to the ground. Anything to get him away from her.

Surprising most of the guild, Gray didn't bother to even look at Natsu, let alone fight back. Because he was staring at Lucy, eyes locked in a trance.

"MIRA! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!" A random guild member asked, shock evident in his voice.

"I...er...don't known." She replied, still stunned from the scene in front of her. Then a thought struck her, "THE POTION!"

"What! So you mean you meant for this to happen?!" Jet practically screamed, "JUVIA'S GONNA EXPLODE!"

"And I thought Mira shipped Nalu and Gruvia..." Wendy mumbled, going unheard by everyone else. They were too busy yelling to pay attention.

"Oh no! I forgot about her!" Mira exclaimed, imagining what could happen when the obsessive water mage shows up.

"Well, how long was her mission suppose to take?" Droy asked.

Mira's face paled, "Actually, she should be coming back tod-" she was cut off when the doors opened.

"I'm back, Gray-Sama!" When her eyes landed on him, he was already beside Lucy, gazing at her longingly. Tears filled her eyes, he was the only one, the only one to except me for who I was...

"L-love rival?" She spoke, voice cracking, hoping her close friend wouldn't betray her like this. She had told Lucy that she truly loves him, and she even agreed to help get them together...but obviously she was lying. "You l-lied to J-Juvia?" She didn't want to believe it, but it was clear.

Juvia had always been jealous of Lucy and Gray's relationship. They were just so close to each other. That's why she called her love rival, she was just so kind, considerate, beautiful, the list goes on. And Juvia wanted to be like her, then maybe Gray would love her.

She was too blinded, thinking of about how others are better, to realize that she is all of those things too...

"Juvia it's not what it looks like!" Erza tried to convince her that it was all just a misunderstanding, but she was too upset to notice somebody was even talking to her.

"Look, Juvia!" Mira called, hoping to snap the bluenette out of her thoughts, "It was just a potion mix up, it isn't real!"

"But what if it is real!" She spoke, tears falling, "What if Lucy and Gray really do love each other, and Juvia never even had a chance with him?" Her voice broke again, not wanting to believe it, but she knew it could be true.

"Juvia listen, you have to help me break this spell." Mira spoke again, full of determination, "Do it for Gray."

Those words echoed in her head, for Gray, "Juvia will do it, for Gray-Sama!" She exclaimed, voice matching Mira's in terms of determination.
