Surya Loka
"Om Brahmane Namaha || Om SarasvatiVallabhayai Namaha || Om Srishtikartaayai Namaha || Om Prajapatye Namaha ||"
Fervent prayers dedicated to Hiranyagarbha Virinichi, the Lord of Creation and beloved of Vaani, filled the air of Surya Loka, every inhabitant getting soaked in the Bhakti of the rulers of said Loka, Surya and his Ardhaangini Sandhya.
Years and years had rolled by, witness to their determined Tapasya. Yet, Surya and Sandhya showed no sign of exhaustion, frustration or exasperation. Only pure will and love lined their closed eyes as they sat together repeating the Mantra over and over. A mantra that would grant them, Swayam Lakshmi as their daughter, a mantra that would liberate the whole world by giving it it's Mother's incarnation.
A huge conflagration of golden light took form before them, dazzling and brilliant, as if it was verily the Knowledge of the Universe taking shape before the chanting couple.
"Vatsa Surya, Vatsa Sandhya," a deep, reverberant voice emanated from the glowing ball of light, "Your prayers shall be answered. What is it that you require, my children?"
It was then that the pair of closed eyes slowly fluttered open, just in time for the dazzling ball of energy to conform into the Four-armed, Four-headed Primeval God of Creation: Lord Brahma. His face was oval shaped, forehead containing a combination of urdhvapundra and tripundara, His eyes shaped like a fresh Lotus, a smile on His face, gentle and understanding, but waiting for the two who had prayed to Him for many years to ask for the boon they wished for.
"Pitamaha," said Surya softly, finally overcoming the awe of seeing the Lord of Creation. His eyes holding tears in them, prayer and determination still shining through.
"Pranaam Pitamaha," added Sandhya, bowing down to Brahma repeatedly, joyful and overwhelmed to see the Lotus-seated Lord.
Brahma nodded, affectionate, but waited for the couple to talk. He could see they were gearing up to request of Him what they had prayed for.
"Pitamaha, seeing you has drenched us with the deepest joy," Surya continued, "We prayed to you to... we want to nurture and love, to birth and adore Mata Lakshmi Herself, in the form of our child. "
Both Surya and Sandhya looked at Brahma, hope and devotion evident in their eyes and aura.
"Tathastu!" He said, His single blessing enough to make both joyous beyond all meaning. Brahma continued, "Not just will Lakshmi be born to you, but a special son, who is verily the blessing of Mahadeva Himself, will also be born to you as Her twin."
Saying thus, Brahma vanished in a shower of golden sparks, the couple staring at the spot He had appeared in with delight, the fact that their wish had been granted slowly sinking in.

Nitya Dwaraka
Sri Krishna's infamous smile deepened as His mind's eye clearly saw the happenings at Surya Loka.
"Lindi?" His rich, resonant voice rippled across the crores of Universes that lay wrapped around His little finger.
Kalindi, and all Her co-wives turned to Krishna, expectantly. Already knowing what was to come and what was going to be said, Their radiant faces nodded at Him, a small yet sad smile curving Their lips.
However, it was Kalindi who replied, "Natha?"
Krishna's arm wrapped around Kalindi's shoulders, encasing Her in His embrace.
