The Jacob's had a annual cookout every year that the Reira's were always invited to.Aurelia's dad was good friends with Cal Jacob which was why they got invited every year.It's not like her and her mother wanted to go but they did anyway out of respect.

"why don't you just not go?"Rue suggests sitting in Aurelia's room Elliot next to her. "I can't."Aurelia says looking through her closet for something to wear. "why not?"Elliot continues.

"because,it's complicated."Aurelia sighs. "I can go with you if you'd like?"Elliot suggests.Rues eyes widen looking at Aurelia who had turned around to look at Rues reaction.

"that'd be great actually."Aurelia smiles. "yea,she asks me every year to go with her but god knows I can't stand Nate Jacobs and his perverted ass dad."Rue spills. "seems like he's got problems."Elliot says smoking.

Aurelias mom suddenly walks in.She furrows her eyes brows at the sight of a boy in her room. "umm."She says. "oh no mom,that's just Elliot."Aurelia explains as Elliot waves at her mom.Aurelia's mom ignores the sight and says "Hurry up honey, we're gonna be late."

"mom can Elliot go?"Aurelia asks quickly. "Aurelia I don't care just get dressed."Her mom breaks.

Aurelias mom wasn't too strict on who she hung out with.She knew,or at least thought,Aurelia was a good kid who was capable of making her own choices.

"alright,Imma head to Fezco's place."Rue says standing up. "are you sure you dont wanna go with me?"Aurelia questions one last time. "Not at all."Rue says walking out the room.Aurelia laughs.

Aurelia changes quickly as Elliot lays on her bed fidgeting with her stuff. "All done."She says looking at herself in the mirror.

"hmm".He mumbles. "what?"She asks. "you look very nice in that."He compliments her." "I don't think imma be able to do this sober."Aurelia complains.Elliot passes her the blunt as she takes a few hits before her mom calls them.

"Aurelia hurry up!" Aurelia's mom yells once more. "coming,coming!"She yells back.Her and Elliot walk out the house and into the car.

The car ride there was Aurelia's mom practically interrogating Elliot.

"so do you work?" Aurelia's mom asks Elliot before arriving to Nate's house. "uhh no."He responds terrified. "mom Please."Aurelia breaks the tension.

Aurelia's mom parks and they make their way into the Jacob's house.They're quickly greeted at the door. "It's very nice to see you guys."Cal tells her mom. "Aurelia,you look very amazing as always."Cal grins.Aurelia smiles faintly as he stares her up and down.

"what a creep."Elliot says as they made their way in further to the house. "I know right."Aurelia responds.

The two sit on the couch and talk for hours as the simple party occurs.

"would you like anything to drink babes?"Jacob's mother asks.They both not their head in disagreement.Elliot looks around spotting Jules for whatever reason.

"hey isn't that Jules?"Elliot mentions.Aurelia looks her way waving at her signaling her to come.She happily approaches them. "heyyy."Aurelia and Jules hug eachother. "you look so good."They compliment eachother.

After talking for a while Aurelia gets the urge to use the restroom.

"i'll be back I needa use the restroom."She says standing up to use the restroom.When she walks out the restroom she freezes noticing the two laughing and getting touchy.Jules head was on his lap while her hand was fiddling with his.
