Dex awoke to sound of Evan criying, he started to get up and ran to Evan's room, as he got there, he threw open the door, Evan was on his bed, criying, his hands over his eyes.
Dex: "Evan, are you OK?!
Evan: "Mike scared me!"
Dex had a look of disgust on his face, he had enough of Mike and his pranks on Evan. He looked to Evan with sympathy on his face.
Dex: "it's OK, Mike won't get away with this.
Evan: "y-you promise?"
Dex: "I promise."
Dex had a kind, warm, gentle smile on his face, This was enough to get Evan to smile, Dex gave Evan a hug, and Evan started to fall into a deep sleep. Dex stayed there, he knew that Mike would be back to scare Evan, and Dex was not going to let that happen.
Mike was trying to hold his laughter in, he was going to go back and scare Evan again.
Mike: "this is going to be a great night."
Mike walked to Evan's room, he giggled softly, as he creaked open the door, but his good mood died when he saw Dex in the room, and Evan was fast asleep.
Dex: "don't."
Mike walked away, he was sure that he was busted.
Mike: "I am done for!"
