Escaping for his life

All the beta testers are forced to give up their items and are killed.

Kirito has no choice but to hide and do things on his own.

That one stupid flag

All the beta testers had flags on their accounts so if someone got a look at you they'd know if they pulled up your file.

Kirito avoided towns, villages and any safe point like the plague. He knew how to do what he needed.

Kirito closed his eyes in the corner of his cave he just killed a dragon for.

'Home. School. Now SAO. Can someone explain why my entire life is shit?' Kirito thought as he cooked the remains of the dragon.

The crystal dragon was a boss that he had good memories with the other beta testers fighting but the oath to help the noobs when the game first came out was swiftly overshadowed by the slaughter of his people.

Kirito had his friends list and watched 1 by 1 of it slowly showing them dying while he ran for his life.

Kirito had swore to be the hero. But now...now it was time to be selfish.

Kirito slit his finger and drew a pentagram on the snow floor. He put the clutch of eggs onto it and they merged into a single egg glowing Legendary Purple. The Satanic Dragon ritual, best pet in the game and some decent armor.

A dragon made black crystal hatched and Kirito held out a hand.

Silica 

'Stupid Rosalia stupid guild.' She thought as I marched through the woods with Pina.

"I won't kill my pet for some pants!" I said out loud. "Wouldn't fit my big butt anyway. Why did this game give me this? I was flat as a pancake in the real world. Aren't the avatars supposed to be the same as our actual bodies?"

I was fighting a few monsters when a bunch of gorillas appeared.

Pina went down and I was about to be crushed by the gorilla.

A swing from an unknown swordsman had saved me but Pina was dead. 

"Hey." A voice said.

I looked up and saw the man decked out in black with a dragon on his shoulder just like Pina but all black with red eyes.

"You shouldn't be walking around here alone." He said looking down at me.

"Pina." I say holding the feather of my pet.

He looked down at it and his dragon jumped over to look at it. Its scales were so shiny. When I went to check my hud, a hand grabbed my wrist. "Don't." A stern voice said.

"There's an item that can res pets but my advice would get a new dragon." He said.

"What do you know? Pina was the only thing I gave a shit about in this damn game! I've spent my entire life living with an alcoholic skank and drug addict. I don't care about a stupid death here." I say.

His head seemed to bow "My family doesn't give a shit about me." He finally said "I'm surprised I'm even alive right now. Not the game but my body."

"I used to be flat." I say gesturing to my chest. 

"You want your pet back?" He asked.

"More than anything." I say, a black shadow cast over my eyes.

"Alright. Let's go. We don't have time to dick around." He said, holding out his hand.

He helped me up and asked "What do I call you?"

"Silica." I say. He didn't give his name so I asked and he again didn't.

Third person

The two had spent the next 20 hours grinning the materials to unlock the dungeon to get the flower.

Silica was gonna exit the cave but Kirito had suggested actually bringing Pina back before the long trek back out.

Pina was brought back and immediately started smelling Red Eyes. "Really? You're back from the grave and you're looking for some Dragon Dick?" Silica said looking at her pet.

"Hey Silica I made you those pants you said you didn't want to make out of Pina. These should be a useful item for a while." He said.

Silica saw them appear in her inventory and tried them on. "Damn. These are comfortable. This is why Rosalina wants to kill Pina."

"You can get armor from pets but it takes a while for the pet to drop material." He said.

Silica shifted her hips. "We make a pretty good team." Silica said "What do you say we team up?"

"No." He said "I've been running for my life from everyone. I can't put that on you."

"Can I at least learn your name?" Silica asked.

"No." He said.

They walked out and Kirito saw a bunch of players.

"Silica we've been looking for you." The red head said.

"Mind calling your ambush off?" The black swordsman said.

"That's a pretty high perception score." She said "So Silica found someone finally found a friend on her level. That's adorable."

"Can the patronizing. Move or be destroyed." Kirito said, stepping forward.

The others attacked but Kirito health regenerated faster then they could damage it.

"We're the best orange guild in the game." Rosalina said "You could only be that strong if-"

Her head fell to the ground as Kirito killed 2 of the players, snapped the limbs of 3 and shoved them into the river. 

Silica saw one attacking from the back and she reacted. Her crystal turned yellow then orange after her body moved and killed a second. A hand caught her sword "2 kills. Any more and you red permanently."

Silica stopped "environmental damage however doesn't count so…"

Silica nodded and shoved the last one into the water.

The two orange players left and Silica said "So what's your name?"

"Lets not go that far." Kirito said.

"My real name is Keiko Ayano but I honestly plan on changing my name to Silica in real life." Silica said.
