My face was stuck in a permanent pout as I sat on the sidewalk. Looking at Auzzie, I could tell he didn't have a care in the world as he rested on the hood of his car, eyes closed with a smile on his face.
He even had the audacity to start whistling a very upbeat tune.
I let out a groan, annoyed at his cheeriness in the situation.
He turned his head towards me and opened his eyes. He cocked an eyebrow and his mouth twisted into a smirk.
"Whatsa matter?" He asked me in a baby voice, obviously mocking me.
"I can't believe I'm stuck out here with you of all people..." I muttered quietly.
"I know, lucky you, eh?"
I groaned again.
Auzzie sat up on the hood and turned towards me.
"Oh come on, this is a wonderful time for us to get to know each other better!" Auzzie's voice was filled with fake enthusiasm.
I shot him a warning glare which he happily ignored.
"So Lilliana Braxton, let's talk about you."
Auzzie's face morphed into his signature devilish grin.
"You're a junior right? Soooo you're 16? 17?"
"17."
"Woohoo, almost legal." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
I glared at him and he just chuckled.
"Alright alright, so where'd you come from Miss USA?"
"Washigton. Seattle actually."
"What was it like?"
His normal question caught me off guard.
"Well... It's amazing. Big city, incredible views, always something to do. I miss it like crazy."
"What, you don't like it here in good ol' Canada?"
"I don't know, it's just not the same, I loved it in Seattle. It was my home. My friends and family were there."
"So why'd you leave?"
I hesitated for a second.
"Ooooooh juicy stuff, eh?" He grinned at me.
"Just family stuff, nothing I really wanna divulge to someone I hardly know in the middle of nowhere."
"But this is perfect soul searching time! Just let it all out." He joked.
"Look, it's really sh*tyy stuff and I don't want to think about it right now."
"Alright fair enough, if its any consolation, I'm sorry you were forced to move to our horrid city against your will."
I actually chuckled for once.
He looked thoughtful for a minute before switching gears right back to assh*le.
"So how many guys have you f*cked?"
I scoffed.
"So much for having an actual conversation with you. But it's none of your business so piss off."
"I'll take that as you're still a virgin?" He laughed and winked at me.
There was no way in h*lI that I was gonna tell him he was right, but I blushed furiously as I tried my best to look angry. It was no use so I just looked away.
"Leave me alone Auzzie."
"Okay I'm sorry," he tried to contain his laughter. "But tell me this, why do you hate me so much? Just because I like to joke around with you doesn't mean you should send death wishes my way. I'm not actually trying to make your life h*ll or anything."
