Leo looks at his room, once more, after securing the majority of his belongings into a large black duffel bag.
He pets his cat goodbye, as he will not be returning.
"Bye now, Luci." he whispers to the cat.
Leo enables his primary, and leaves the house, alone. His parents are asleep at this time, as are most residents of Valen. A time when nobody is conscious would be the perfect time for escape, would it not?
Leo appears before a large building.
VALEN STATE LAB OF EXPERIMENTATION the sign reads
Leo could have just gone inside, but had to reassure that this was in fact the right place.
Leo makes a visualization of where his friend, Bix's, cell would be located.
Zircon Bix, or just Bix, is one of Leo's friends. He had been taken away from his family at a young age, forced to live in a lab, and has been experimented on daily ever since. He has no perception of the outside world, and has limited knowledge of many things. Despite this, he manages to be very friendly, however, very gullible.
His only understanding of social norms comes from watching television.
Leo's goal is to get him out of that place, so they both can start a new life somewhere, without the stress brought on them from their elders.
Leo appears in Bix's cell. Despite it being a cell, it is very well maintained.
Bix is sleeping at this moment.
Leo shakes him to wake him up.
"Bix. Wake up. We are leaving." Leo whispers to Bix.
Bix rolls over and opens his alien-like eyes.
"Hey there Leo, what are you doing here?" Bix says loudly.
The security camera that is in Bix's cell suddenly flashes blue, alerting them that someone is watching on the other end.
Leo immediately falls to the ground and hides under Bix's bed.
Feedback from the camera, one of the doctors speaking, fills the quiet room.
"Zircon, what are you doing in there?" The doctor snaps through breaking microphone quality
"Lie to the guy, Bix!!" Leo whispers to him
"Oh, nothing, Doctor! I'll go back to sleep now." Bix states as he lies back down facing the other direction from the camera.
The light from the camera turns off.
Leo quickly gets up and grabs Bix's hand, and they teleport off into the middle of nowhere.
The two fall down onto the ground and get up.
"Shit. This is the wrong place. Don't worry, here, grab my hand again" Leo says
Bix leans over and grabs ahold of Leo's hand. He attempts to teleport, but it fails.
He tries again. Fail.
Fail.
Fail!
FAIL!
FAIL!!!!!
"What's the matter, Leo?" Bix asks
Leo sighs loudly and dramatically.
"We can't go to the place I wanted to. Something is wrong with me. This sucks." Leo whines.
"Oh okay." Bix replies
Wherever they were, it was quiet, cold, and way too dark to figure out where they were headed, especially because they were surrounded by a large amount of trees.
Leo pulls out a flashlight and looks around, but Bix is gone.
"Bix?" Leo says aloud.
He looks around in all directions for Bix, but he is no where to be seen.
