A low hum filled the plane's cabin, along with soft snores from sleeping passengers, a muffled cough from the sick, and an occasional little wail from a newborn, whose parents were cooing and shushing the babe in hopes it would keep the little one silent. The air in the plane was stale, it hung like a thick cloud of smoke, which the passengers had no choice, but to breathe it in. A few quiet giggles could be heard in this aircraft, giggles of excitement. A few of the passengers looked annoyed about the giggles, while some just smiled to themselves, trying to mind their business by keeping their eyes glued to their phones.

The giggles could be heard from the way back; particularly in row 40. Two women sat in seats D and C, whispering and giggling to each other like two gossiping middle school girls whose crushes just walked by. The other two people next to them tried their best to ignore them, guessing that these women probably had never been to Europe before and they were just so excited about this new adventure.

One of the women tried her best to stretch her legs, rubbing her sore knees in the process. Her buttocks and lower back began to go numb from the hours they had been sitting in their seats, unable to move unless they needed to. She lightly stretched her arms above her head, deciding in the process to pull her shoulder-length chocolate hair back in a quick ponytail. She quickly glanced at her impatient friend, slightly smiling as the reflection of light outside of the window filled her dark brown eyes.

Her friend was sitting next to her, bouncing her legs up and down in excitement and anticipation. She kept looking between her window and her friend, almost switching every few minutes like clockwork. She finally took a deep breath and rested her head against the headrest, internally grimacing at the stiffness of her neck. Her long sunflower blonde hair sprawled across her shoulders, stopping at the middle of her chest. She closed her eyes and sighed, calming her racing mind. Her eyes slowly opened as she tilted her head to the right, making eye contact with her friend; A smile pried at her lips as she spoke in a hushed tone. "How many more hours until we land?"

The brunette huffed as she reached for the phone that was resting on the fold-down tray in front of her. She tapped her screen, looking at the large bold numbers that flashed across as the phone lit up. "We have about..." She started, thinking in her mind of the time they left, how long the flight was, and what time her phone was saying. She added it quickly in her mind and finished her sentence. "4 hours left." The brunette clicked the side button on the phone, turning off her screen, hoping it would preserve power for when they landed so that she could call her mom and update her about the flight.

The blonde lightly groaned as she turned her head to the left, peering outside her window, watching a fluffy white cloud pass. She couldn't be on this flight anymore, she felt like her spine was going to snap in half. "Arabella?" The blonde started as she swung her head back to the right to glance into her friend's dark brown eyes. The brunette was already looking at her, peering into her hazel-green ones. "Yes, Delilah?"

"Do you think the boys are jealous about our trip?" The blonde smirked at her friend, a light sense of humor filling her voice as she spoke.

Arabella muffled a giggle with her hand as Delilah continued on a tangent about how their friends looked sad and mad when they dropped them off at the airport yesterday morning. The women never discussed anything about the boys during the whole connecting flight or the gate changes that they endured. "Well....." Arabella started, clearing her throat while thinking of what to say. "They did look sad when we told them we were going to Europe."

"Yeah, they did, but this is our trip," Delilah said, closely watching her friend's facial expressions as she spoke. "We deserve it." The blonde finished, straightening her head and stretching her neck in the process. "We do deserve this. Plus we always go on couples trips together." Arabella stated as she quietly laughed, leaning back into her seat, and placing her arms gently on the armrests. "That is also true," Delilah commented, grabbing her phone out of her pocket.
