Unpredictable Love

Chapter 1

It's been a tiring but fruitful day for Pat and his friends as they won the rugby match for their college. They decided to relieve their stress by going to a bar to chill and enjoy the night.

At the bar:

As soon as they enter the bar, they see Wai standing next to a table and talking to the customers. Wai looks at them for a second and then gets on with his work without any expression on his face.

Korn: That a**hole. He will never change.

Pat: Come on. Leave him alone. It's not like you are any better.

Korn: Ai Pat stop taking his side just because he is your boyfriend's bestfriend.

Pat: I am not. But you need to admit that you are no angel when you face each other. You always provoke him unnecessarily.

Korn: Aye... I just can't stand his attitude. Why can't he just smile. Always sulking like a baby.

Pat: May be it's you who don't give him a reason to smile. Just try to find a middle ground to coexist. I don't want Pran to stress because of your fight.

Korn: Aye Aye Boss.

Korn mock salutes him earning him a smack on his head.

Korn: Ouch... It hurts. Be gentle dear.

Pat acts puke on hearing his words.

They continue drinking and joking around. Korn excuses himself to go to the restroom. As he is about to exit the backdoor of the bar, he heard two people shouting and abusing each other. He recognized one of the voice and the person is none other than Wai. The other one is not recognizable.

Korn: Idiot. Why is he going about fighting with everyone around him? What trouble did he get himself into now?

Korn peeks through the door and is shocked to see a guy standing there pointing a gun at Wai. He quickly thought something and rushed outside acting like a drunkard. He then pretends to fall on Wai and ask for his help to get to the restroom. Wai quickly takes advantage of the situation and pretend to walk him to the restroom while the guy with the gun huffed and puffed in annoyance.

In the restroom:

Wai quickly let go of Korn as soon as they enter the restroom.

Korn: What the hell is wrong with you dude? Why do you keep getting into fights with everyone?

Wai: Look whose speaking. The one who cannot wait to start a fight whenever I come before you. I didn't do anything this time. It was his fault.

Korn: I don't want to get into fight with you. Just seeing your smug face irritates me so much that I want to punch you hard.

Wai: What's stopping you? It's not like anyone is going to listen to me or help me. Everyone just judges but never listens.

A stray tear drops from his eyes.

Korn: Wai...

Wai quickly wipes his tears and starts to walk out of the restroom. He is stopped by a hand holding him back.

Wai: Please leave me.

Korn: I am sorry Wai. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just got scared when I saw him point the gun at you. What if he shot you?

Wai: I would die. One less person to bother you.

Korn: WAI

Korn felt hurt hearing that Wai thought so low of him.

Korn: Do you really think I am such a bad person? I would rather see you kicking my ass than see you dead.
