Unpredictable Love

Chapter 3

Korn's POV:

I prepared myself for the shot as the guy pulled the trigger. A loud bang is heard and then nothing. I didn't feel any pain in my body. I opened my eyes and is shocked to see  Wai standing in front of me. He turned to look at me with a smile on his face and then collapsed in my arms.

"WAI"

I held Wai close to me. I looked at my hands and they are covered in blood. Wai is shot. The guy shot my Wai. I want to kill him but Pran stopped me as Pat is already handling the guy. Soon the police comes and takes the guy away from there.

Pran: Let's get him to the hospital.

Pat quickly helps me to get Wai into the back seat of the car. Pran sits along with Pat and I sat behind with Wai's head on my lap. I looked at his face which are covered with bruises. There is  blood on his shirt and pants. Tears starts to form in my eyes on seeing his condition.

Korn: Waiii

Wai: Ko..Korn

Korn: Hmm

Wai: Are you okay?

Korn: Are you asking me that? You are the one who got shot. How can you still think about me?

Wai: Becau.....Because I Love You.

Korn looks at Wai in shock.

Wai: I...I...

Korn: Wai please don't talk. Let us get to the hospital first.

Wai: No...I...Let me talk Korn. What if it's the last time I get to speak  to you?

Korn: WAI..

Wai: I Love You Korn. I always did. I just couldn't admit it because of my ego. But when you ignore...

Wai starts to cough badly and spits out blood.

Korn: Wai, please stop talking. We will talk once you get better.

Wai: Nooo... You will ignore me again when I get better. It hurt so much when you look through me as if I don't exist.

Korn: I am sorry Wai. I am so so sorry.

Wai: If I don't come back, please know that I love you, alot. Please don't hate me.

Wai loses consciousness after he complete that sentence.

Korn: Wai.....Wai. Pat, please drive fast. My Wai...

Pat and Pran looks at their friends with tears in their eyes, unable to bear their pain. How did they hide their love for each other for such a long time.

They reached the hospital and Wai is taken to the operating room. Pran completes the hospital formalities while Pat takes care of Korn.

Third person POV:

Korn has been sitting hunched up in the chair for last one hour. He did not say a single word since they arrived at the hospital.

Pran and Pat tried to get him to drink some water but he denied it and sat with a blank look in his eyes.

After an hour of waiting,  the doctor comes out of the operating room. Korn jumps up from his seat and runs to the doctor.

Korn: Wai..How..How is he?

Doctor: He is stable now.  But there are some serious injuries.  It will be a long way to recovery. He has some broken ribs, a fractured arm and a bullet wound in his stomach that needs to be healed. He is really lucky to survive after so much blood loss.

They are all relieved to hear that Wai is out of danger. Pran tries to convince Korn to go home with Pat but he refuses to do so. For the next 2 weeks Korn stays with Wai while their friends visited them occasionally. Pran persuaded Korn to attend his class while one of them stayed with Wai. Slowly Wai's wounds starts to heal but he is still under heavy sedation.
