The sounds of swords clanging and panting filled the room. Pride completely consumed the pair, giving up was far off the table now, even if it meant death.
Changbin was growing exhausted, almost feeling foolish for challenging such a king. He was just a prince, no true power over him. All he had was his strength, and he was running out.
Felix on the other hand, not tired at all, was admittedly in awe at how Changbin had kept up with him for so long. He'd never had much war experience prior to becoming king having been thrown into it. If only he could just get his hands on the Angel.
He slammed his foot right into his chest and the Angel fell. Felix drove his rapier into the ground right next to Changbin's head. The room was silent with the accompaniment of shallow, ragged breaths.
Changbin watched the Demon above him, swatting his cloak away from his face. Why hadn't he killed him yet?
"Go home." Felix breathed out, "I have no business killing a prince. You're just in my way. Go home."
Changbin shook his head and kicked Felix off of him, slamming his own weapon into the ground right onto his cloak so he couldn't escape. "Actually, I think you should come with me instead." He smiled and took Felix's rapier, twirling it for a moment. "It's so light, no wonder you're so quick. Bet you're real easy to throw around too."
Felix scoffed at that, "you couldn't even land a scratch on me. Look at yourself, you're all battered and torn from me and yet you're not even taking the chance to kill me like you have."
Changbin swung the sword, only landing a small but deep cut on Felix's face, "oh no, I could. I just don't want to. You're coming back with me. You're defenseless as it is, evasion can only get you so far." He pressed the rapier against his chest now. "Or do I have to force you?"
"Unless you have it in you to stab me, then yeah, probably." Felix smiled.
Changbin shoved the rapier straight into the Demon's chest. He grabbed his own sword and then Felix by his collar, dragging him out of his own castle.
Felix struggled to keep up, he knew he had no escape anymore, so he had to go with him.
The ride to the Angel realm was a blur. He didn't even remember having his wounds treated and stitched, the common and royal Angel's reactions when he was spotted, or being put into the cell he was now in.
Felix looked up once he heard footsteps, locking eyes with Changbin for a moment.
"To be quite honest, I don't know why I even brought you here."
"So your realm could take over mine, why else?" He moved closer to the bars, "or just kill everyone."
"That's your thing." Changbin spat and stepped closer to the Demon.
"Which proves how weak your kind can be."
"Last I checked, you're in my dungeon. I don't even know how you almost beat me. You're about as frail as the poor man."
"Even still you couldn't get a hit on me and we fought for quite a while. You Angels may not kill, but you focus more on brute strength and that gets you in tough situations."
"And you Demons don't. And where did that get you?"
"You know I'm just gonna get out of here." Felix wrapped his hands around the bars, giving them a small tug. "Look how easy they move."
"Then that just tells me I need to get the chains for you. Thank you."
Felix bit his tongue, "I knew I should've just killed you."
