Chapter 10- Truths

You look in almost every room, and you hear crying in one of them.
Wait...
Mystery..?
"Oh...Lilly..." Mystery says in tears
"Mystery..who's Lilly..? Are you ok..?" You ask in a shakey voice.
"Oh..! Y/n! I'm sorry you have to see me like this.." Mystery replies in a saddened voice
"Lilly..is..I mean...was....my mother.." He says slowly
"Oh...I can't say how sorry I am.." You start
"Stranger is the only other living burns..I wouldn't dare call him family..I gave up on him after..my mother..." He says
"I...think you need a hug." You say
"Me too..." Mystery replies
You sweep him into a hug, as he cries into your shoulder.
"It's alright..." You assure him
"You remind me of my mother at times, y/n...sweet...loving...easy to talk to.." He says
It's not clear who lets go first, but you enjoyed every second of it.
He grabs paper and crayon, and draws who he calls 'Lilly'.
You draw a picture of you and Mystery hugging, as you can see his drawing of Lilly is tear-stained already.
I can't imagine losing someone so important and special...
No wonder he's gone crazy...
No one had been here for him...
He's been alone for this long...
You start to cry at the thought of him letting go. He probably would have if you never arrived.
And you would have never knew.
No one would have.
"Mystery...I love you more than life itself..please never leave.." You say in tears.
"I promise.." He says
