Early in the morning, I gazed at the beautiful sunset that was just peeking over the big New York buildings. Along with all the busy people that was hustling down the snow covered sidewalks, I was walking while keeping a sharp eye out for a homeless person that needed warmth, or a meal, or just someone to talk to. I believe that everyone is as important as each other, and that everyone deserved someone to look out for them. And so that is what I do, I look out for the homeless people of New York.

I continued to head down to one of my good friend's house, Victoria, who is one of my biggest supporters of my program. When I arrived to her home, I parked my wagon full of my supplies next to her porch, and I knocked on the door with her lion-door knocker. I heard the majestic sounds of the knocking bounce of the walls of her large house.

A few moments later when Victoria opened the door, she exclaimed, "Brittney!" I could tell with the look on her face that she was excited that I came. She gestured for me to come inside. Her grand home overwhelmed me, but I overcame it quickly- and put on a straight face.

For a while, there was a silence. Victoria and I didn't know what to talk about- there was nothing going on!

At last, Victoria broke the awkward silence, "So! I have some things for your program, and since I am cleaning out my book collection- would your husband be interested in having some books for his library?"
I replied, "Oh! Thank you so much, and yes- I'm sure Jacob would love the books." I said with a grin.

Now Victoria was beaming, and she picked up a box that was laying on a small table standing next to the entrance. Victoria handed the box to me, and I could tell that some larger books were in the box- because of how heavy it was.
Than Victoria pulled an envelope out of her jean pockets, and passed it to me. I said my thank you's and goodbyes, and I headed out in the harsh weather. I put the donation and books in my wagon, and started to head off when I heard Victoria running out.
"I forgot to mention, keep an eye out for the weather! We should be getting some blizzards soon, I'm heading out to stock up on food. You might want to do the same." Victoria warned me.

I replied, "Thanks for the warning, Victoria! I will most definitely be having the weather channel on tonight, thanks again!"
"No problem!" she answered.
I wasn't really worried. About the storm. I know that some New Yorkers sometimes freak out about the weather and the world ending. But I assured Victoria that I would look out, because she really does care.
