Chapter 5: Brother-Sister Hangout

        A few days flew by, and before she knew it, it was only one more week to decide who she would make the agreement with. She was in the bath, sighing deeply. “Why do I have to do this..? I seriously did not sign up for any of this… This special power I have to reproduce powerful ayakashi is just… No, I don’t want that.” Ariana thought.  Even if she convinced herself that the whole thing was an illusion, she couldn’t escape it, because it was reality. “I guess I really do have to decide on someone so this madness will stop.” Ariana said. “You’re right about that.” Miyabi said.

        She realized that he was in the bath with her. “What are you doing in here, foxy boy?!” Ariana exclaimed. “Does it matter? More importantly…” Miyabi said getting close to her. “Get away!” Ariana exclaimed. “You’re going to choose me. You don’t need a week to know that. Just give yourself to me already.” Miyabi said. “NO! GET OUT!” Ariana shouted. “Quiet. You’re so stubborn. All women want to be held by me.” Miyabi said. She felt like she was being lured. “You better stop what you’re doing right now…” Ariana said struggling. “That’s right. Give everything to me.” Miyabi said putting his shoulder around her, bringing his face towards her neck. She screamed loudly.

         The door busted open. “Ariana, are you alright?” Samon asked. “Foxy boy is trying to seduce me!” Ariana exclaimed. “HEY!” Samon exclaimed and pulled Miyabi out of the bath by his hair. “Oh my god… He’s pissed. I never saw him like that before.” Ariana thought. “Knock it off.” Samon said in a cold tone. “Whoa…” Ariana whispered.

        In an instant, Miyabi turned into kitsune and ran off. “Are you ok?” Samon asked noticing that he was looking at her in the bath and quickly turned away. “I’m fine thanks to you.” Ariana said. “Just be careful. Miyabi can manipulate humans with his powers.” Samon said. “I see that now. Also, why are you acting like that?” Ariana asked. “Acting like what?” Samon asked. “Nervous about seeing me sort of exposed. You’ve seen me in the bath plenty of times, remember? You always bathe me when I broke my arm when I was in the aikido club.” Ariana asked. “Y-You were just a girl then. Excuse me.” Samon said and left, closing the door behind him. “…What?”

         When she finished her bath, she went to the living room where all the ayakashi were. “…Hey.” Shinra said and nudged her. “What’s wrong? Why do you look so anxious?” Ariana asked. “Samon came out looking pissed. What happened?” Shinra asked. “Let’s just say a certain someone was trying to molest me in the bath.” Ariana said. “Seriously?” Shinra asked. “Who was it?” Kyoga asked. “My bro Samon found him and scared him off. The poor thing had its tail between his legs.” Ariana said. “I wasn’t scared! And I wasn't trying to molest you!” Miyabi exclaimed. All eyes were glaring at Miyabi. “You gave yourself away, foxy boy.” Ariana said grinning. “What the hell, you dirty kitsune?!” Shinra exclaimed. “Attacking a girl in the bathtub. It’s shameful…” Yukinojo said. “What are you talking about? It’s all of you there’s something wrong with. I don’t get how all of you don’t do anything living with this sweet scent every day. And you… I know you want me. Go on, say it.” Miyabi said. “Hell to the no!” Ariana exclaimed.

        He got closer to her, and ran his fingers through her hair. “Don’t deny it.” Miyabi said and softly kissed her. She shoved him off. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” Ariana shouted. “Miyabi… Casting a spell on her won’t do anything.” Samon said and pulled him away from Ariana. She was wiping her mouth. “We promised that we’ll wait for Ariana to decide.” Kyoga said. “I really don’t care about a promise I made with a human. Emotions have no part of this. The agreement can be made anyday now.” Miyabi said. “Agreed. Feelings between a human and an ayakashi are meaningless.” Chikage said. “It is meaningless.” Yukinojo said nodded. “Figured. All they care about is my stupid blood instead of my feelings. Unfrigginbelieveable.” Ariana thought. “Don’t listen to them, Ariana.” Kyoga said. “Right, ayakashi can feel something for a human.” Shinra said. She shoved her food aside. “Thank you for dinner.” Ariana said getting up and left the room. Samon’s eyes followed her out of the room.
