Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose

——————————————————————————————————————

Everyone who was on the train that night stood, cold and confused wondering why on earth we were instructed to stand outside judging by the low talk around me everyone assumed that it was just a routine contraband inspection however it was much worse than we imagined. Without warning an imperial ship descended from the sky and out came a group of people I wished we would never have to cross, yet here we were, face to face with some of the Empire's most feared leaders- The Inquisitors. It is said that you will never come to see an Inquisitor face to face unless someone on your unit has really fucked up.

As the door to the ship opened, a tall black figure stepped out everything fell silent all that could be heard was the sound of someone walking across the metal floor, each footstep echoing throughout the galaxy.
"It has come to my attention...that there is a traitor among us." There was something vaguely familiar about the figure's voice, it left me hanging onto every word she said "and this traitor is no common anarchist but a devotee to the treasonous Jedi Order." My heart sank as I heard what she said, knowing that my best friend was now in danger for something so selfless led me to panic.
"Is this all of them?" The figure asked, her eyes scanning the crowd
"Yes Second Sister" replied one of the Storm Troopers
"Very well then. Faliure to turn over this...traitor will result in a charge of sedition. Turn yourself in or everyone here will face summary execution" There were murmurs of disagreement and shock as we all processed the news.
"I think its time someone came forward" Prauf said stepping out of the crowd.
"What are you doing" I whispered grabbing his arm. He looked back at me his eyes filled with sadness
"Its ok just...just promise me you and Cal will get out of here, for me"
"But Prauf"
"Shhh I'll be ok, I promise"
"Although this is very touching I think this man has something to say" Second Sister sneered as she dragged Prauf away from me "well? Oh go ahead don't be shy"
"I-I uh" I could see the fear in Cals eyes I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything was going to be ok.
"I've been working on this heap a long time" Prauf continued glancing at me and Cal "way before the war, we refit and rebuilt ships... the best in the galaxy." As Prauf was saying this, I saw Cal's hand shift to where his lightsaber was held. 'Don't do it you crazy son of a bitch' I thought 'its not worth it.'
"And then came the Empire" Prauf continued, giving Cal a wary glance "by then, engineers became scrappers. The workers became the worked. The truth is, to the empire we're all expendable."
"Yes...yes you are" and before I could process what was happening, Second Sister ignited her lightsaber, its glowing red blade ready to pierce through Prauf like a bullet.
"No!" I cried out and without thinking I grabbed the handle of her lightsaber, this sent a familiar sensation through my body, yet I had no time to think about this as I held the blade inches away from Prauf's body
"I won't...let her...hurt...you" I said straining as I tried to protect my best friend, "I...I promise"
"Now what's this?" Second Sister asked almost sounding amused, "a Bracca scrap rat playing the hero? Yet...there is still no sign of the Jedi."
"Leave them alone" Cal said, his voice cold and icy
"Whats that?" Second Sister replied with a laugh
"I said, leave them alone!" And suddenly, Cal ignited his blue lightsaber and swung at the Second Sister but she blocked it with the other blade.
"Oh there you are" she said with a sinister smile "I thought you were a no show, now the fun can really begin." Suddenly she turned round and used the force to push me and Prauf into a corner before splitting her lightsaber in half and throwing one half into Prauf's chest.
"Prauf!" I cried trying to yank the blade out of his chest, it sliced my arm in the process but I didn't care, "Prauf you're going to be ok, I promise." I said my eyes filling with tears.
"No...my time on this planet....is up but yours and Cal's...it's just beginning...as we speak there is a...a cargo train passing under us...take Cal and jump onto the train you should eventually reach an escape pod...use that and get the hell out of here."
"But-"
"No buts...now go"
And so I did. Cal was fighting with the Second Sister but I grabbed him by the wrist and jumped off the bridge. I managed to swipe a blaster from one of the security guards and sure enough there was a train underneath us. We landed with a deafening thud and lay on the floor for a minute desperate to catch our breath.
"Is he..." Cal asked me between breaths
"Yeah he's...he's dead"
