Chapter-02

After sometime, Seokmin popped around the door and pulled in in a hug saying " Lily, I missed you!" I hugged him back. After sometime, he separated from me. He asked me " Lily, if this doesn't make you feel uncomfortable can you tell me why you are not talking. I took out my phone and wrote " You may have guessed that I'm mute. I was not born mute but I could speak well when I was a child until I was 5. I lost my voice due to a disease called apraxia. It caused problems in the coordination of my muscles that are responsible for speech." Seokmin said " oh my, Lily I'm so sorry. But have you tried to speak?" I typed " Well, yes many times but I couldn't speak each time." He then asked " Well..don't you have any friends?" I formed a sad smile and typed "No, you know that I'm mute well....everyone knows and are either scared,disgusted or weirded out by me." He smiled and said "Not everyone. I think that your cool and I would like to be your friend." I smiled and typed "Me too...but you will also get bullied because of me." He said " I don't care if I get bullied as long as I can be your friend." I smiled and hugged him, secretly thanking him.
The next day
Here I was walking to school. I was kinda looking forward to going to school today as I finally found a friend. But as soon as I got to school. Everyone looked at me and started to laugh or whisper/gossip amongst themselves. Then suddenly I was pushed into a wall by none other than Bora... She said "Let's see if she's actually mute or not..." Then she and her minions started to kick and punch me and a few others joined in as well... They all threw eggs onto me. A lot of eggs. I started to cry as All the punching and kicking was hurting a lot. Forgetting that I had apraxia I tried to speak 'stop' but nothing came out. I was disappointed. 'Where was Seokmin?' I needed him to help me and he wasn't here... Suddenly, I heard somebody say "Stop! Your hurting her!" But I was not able to figure out who it was as I was unconscious.
I woke up and saw that I was in the nurse's office and Seokmin was sitting next to the bed and crying. I hugged him and he looked up. He smiled and hugged me back...
