A week has passed, and [First Name's] still trying to settle in the small run-down house the man had led them to. A home that only fits one, with [First Name] taking the bed and the man on a messy put-together hammock. There were no arguments with the sleeping arrangements as it was all the same to the man.
A week has passed, and [First Name] is covered in minor bruises from her training. The man is taking things slow for the five-year-old.
A week has passed, and [First Name] is still taking her medicine.
A week has passed, and [First Name] still misses her mother...
"Are you doing ok, kid?" the man asked. "I'm fine!" she puffed out. "You don't look 'fine,'" walking over and standing before the small girl. "We've been doing this for a week straight. Maybe I need to give you a day of rest." Reaching down to help. "No... I'm fine; I can take it! I have to get big and strong!" another puff from the girl.
"If you don't rest once in a while, your body will never recover enough to be at full strength," insisted the man as he grabbed [First Name's] arm. "You will take the rest of the day as a breather. Then tomorrow, we will begin again," he comforted. "Alright, Mister," she gave in. The afternoon was already upon them when they stopped. "You can go nap. I'll get you when dinner is ready," the man said as he walked towards the fire pit on the east side of the little plot of land that held the house. "I'll stay with you!" [First Name] followed behind him. Nothing more was said from them as the man started a fire for the night, both sitting on opposite sides as the growing flames danced between them, glowing brighter each time the sun fell from the sky, with an animal resting above it.
"Where did you get the piggy?"
"It's a boar, and I killed it days earlier," he continued to eat. "You killed it?...." [First Name] mourned the pig.
